I prefer firm mattress but this is a soft foam mattress. The quality and size is not bad but not the best for the price. It came in good packaging and filled up in one night and there was no smell in it. The length and width are fine for us comfortable to fit. The firmness is lacking which does not give much back support. The thickness is around 5 inches it is less than 6. We decided to use it as a spare mattress for guests because it is not thick enough to fit on twin beds comfortably. ... show more

I so wanted to like this mattress. I was looking for a nice 6 inch mattress for my daughters junior loft bed. When this arrived it was vacuum sealed as expected. It came with a little cutter to help open the package without cutting the mattress. This seemed awesome, but it really didn't work well and I ended up getting out the scissors anyways. As soon as I got the mattress out is started in inflate. I let it sit on a hard mattress for a day or two and then put in on the floor to fully inflate for two more days. The bed never fully expanded to six inches anywhere. It expanded unevenly all the way around. The long sides expanded more than the short ends. The short ends expanded in a weird angle. 5 inches was the highest it went anywhere. When I went to lay on it it felt ok, but when I put my knee down on it to move across my knee was touching the floor. Not sturdy at all. I got it for my young daughter so it works ok since she doesn't weigh much. I wouldn't put anyone over 75-100 lbs on this mattress. It's slightly bigger than what her bed frame handles....which it's meant for a regular twin so not sure why that is happening. It makes it so hard to change the sheets on her bed. And then since its so thin, my knees are hitting the rails underneath making it very uncomfortable for me. Would NOT recommend this for a bunk bed at all. The only thing I think this mattress would be good for is a regular frame twin bed for a small child. Overall not impressed and can't wait for mattresses to go on sale so I can buy something different. ... show more
