    • Definitely worth it
In the beginning this product and I had a love hate relationship. I started building it using the BILT app and messed up the first few steps and made irreversible damages to the side panels. I even made trips to Home Depot in hopes that I could salvage some of the pieces but had no luck. Luckily, the company was nice enough to send me replacement parts that arrived only 4 short days later. I was able to then put it together and finished the assembly. My biggest advice is to take your time when building and use both the instructions that it comes with in the package and the BILT app. The app is super easy to follow and has visual photo references. Don’t let the other reviews misguide you, I was able to build this product by myself and only used a hand screw driver. I think if you use anything other than that, then you will most likely damage some pieces. Patience is key, but it was worth it and the overall look is amazing, especially the glossy outer pieces. This took FOREVER to build. The directions were very confusing, frustrating and unclear, and if we ever move it (for example when I get something stuck behind it) it make noises as if it’s about to crumble, BUT it’s sooo cute and honestly worth it. :)

    • IKEA is a better option.
Wanted the IKEA MALM but they were out of stock on the color so found this as an alternative. It took a little over a week to get here. Came in 2 boxes that are super heavy. Opened the boxes to get this put together, after downloading the app and looking at the unorganized mess of a bag of hardware and wondering what I had gotten myself into. Pulled out the boards in the first box and the bottom board was bent up on the corner. There is no way this board can be salvaged to be used. I had opened both boxes at the same time so decided to look at the other boxes contents, pulled up the first board, the top of the dresser and it’s cracked down the middle of the board on the underside. I didn’t even bother picking up the rest of the pieces because I wouldn’t be able to get them back in the box to put them in a corner to await the answer from the company. This dresser is also super glossy. Something I wasn’t aware of. Not totally opposed to it being shiny but not exactly what I had in mind. Moral of the story, if you are wanting the IKEA MALM and it’s out of stock and looking for an alternative, wait for it to come back in stock at IKEA. They separate their hardware and send you super easy instructions so it’s not so overwhelming when you have to put it together. I have contacted the company, moments after I discovered the 2 damaged pieces, need to check the contents of the other box to see if there are more. I got a response that it’s the weekend and they will get back to me first thing Monday morning. If this wasn’t so incredibly heavy and hard to put back in the box and seal up, I would tell them to take it back and get a refund. I wasn’t looking forward to putting it together to begin with but a big bag of unorganized hardware and an app on a phone is not my idea of easy. ... show more

We purchased a few of these to run along the wall. It took two of us about 4 hours to assemble each one. They come in 2 boxes each and are super heavy. Pretty sturdy but the drawers are crazy short. They are long though so you can fit some in there. Just really need to find the best way to fold items to fit as anything over a few inches tall will cause the drawer not to close. Also, one top was damaged upon receipt. The company quickly sent a replacement but it too was damaged and was for the wrong dresser so it wasn’t usable. Surprised though that, out of 8 boxes, only the one had a damaged piece. ... show more

Got so much space and the drawers was very sturdy. Love the glossy finish, only took less than 2 hours to build. Only thing I ain’t like is it is really short I’m 5’3 n it’s below my waist.

EDIT: it’s been over a year now since I bought this. The gloss is still great, drawers still work. However, I had to take away a star because poor quality really showed. My bottom two drawers don’t close properly anymore. The bottom wood piece is flimsy, it doesn’t hold up anymore. So I had to McGuyver a piece of plastic under the drawer (because I can’t take the drawers apart to super glue) so the wood piece doesn’t catch preventing it from closing. Sometimes I have to reach underneath and still push up. It’s very annoying. You def get what you pay for. I’m only taking one star off bc the top four drawers still work….for now. Got this last week. Did not know it was coming in TWO separate packages, so it was kind of a pain to unwrap everything, realize it was only half the material and have to wait four days for the second package. I have to contact seller for the tracking info - they responded in a timely manner. Overall, it was somewhat straightforward. I tried to assemble it on my own, but did need help near the end turning the frame upright and then downward, and then upright again. The gloss on the drawers is VERY nice though. It looks so high quality. My only annoyance is the drawers. They’re a great size, but only pull out halfway. Wish i could pull the drawers to at least 3/4 length. Otherwise, it’s great! This dresser is soooooo cute!!!!!! I read reviews before hand and was conflicted on purchasing because apparently the assembly was super hard but decided to anyway. It ended up being very easy to put together (if you have common sense😬). Would definitely recommend!

When if seeing this i was like it’s glossy like it said in the description, but when putting it together I start to see how cheap and poorly made the dresser is.Then with every screw I put in the paint continues to chip off.I would love really love a refund but can’t because I already put it together and can’t take it apart without destroying it even more.An probably never buy a dresser from Amazon ever again. ... show more
