Works well and adjustable enough to put the radar just where I want it. I wanted to keep my current saddle bag, which doesn’t stick out from under my seat. This mount had enough flexibility to allow that. It doesn’t fit my seat rails perfectly, but it grips them well enough to be secure. I did buy a protective case with a leash just in case because surprisingly the Garmin radar does not have one. I did see that you can over torque the threads and strip them so I was careful. In retrospect I should have put a dab of locktite on the screw and I may still do that. Overall a great product and less expensive than the Garmin offering. As another person has noted, the threads on this part are very soft. I followed the other person's advice and was able to secure the parts together with a long bolt, washer, and nut. But, even so, this is very disappointing for a product at this price. The official Garmin seat rail mount does not have this issue and can be torqued quite heavily without worry. ... show more

This is a versatile mount for Garmin devices on the seat rails in situations that the included seat post mount isn't ideal. The brackets which mount onto the rails themselves are metal. The other segments of the mount are hard plastic with metal nuts embedded into it for the screws to fasten to. All around - it has strong connectors. The mount where the Garmin device attaches can be rotated 90 degrees if needed. There is a separate segment of the mount which can probably be removed if it isn't wanted.     • Stripped threads very easily on first install

Has an internal aluminum thread which I stripped out on first install without much torque at all. Not a big deal to fix, by simply getting a longer screw and nut on the outer sides to clamp. Which is a much more reliable design when friction/clamping is used as a locking system. Apart from that, the structure is quite sturdy and should last a longtime. ... show more

Out of the box one of the screws was already stripped. Poor quality for price and especially considering it’s sole job is to secure a $300 piece of equipment.
