I work in a composition boat yard and this is perfect. I can set it up differently depending on the projects we have, and also having a calender makes planning everything much easier. This notebook was exactly what I was looking for as a "fancy enclosure" for the notes I like to take using the tool system. The quality of the leather is exactly as expected (for the price) and despite the unstructured mailer bag it arrived it, was in pristine condition---no dings or bends or anything as some reviewers have experienced. I don't really plan on using the pen holder or smaller sleeves on the inside of the covers, but they will surely be adequate in holding onto whatever smaller pieces of paper or business cards I may need them for in the future. I love how the notebook can be swapped out with larger rings to accommodate a larger notebook. I didn't make the purchase for the included paper, but it's at least 30lbs (or greater) and wonderful to write on with all types of ink. ... show more

I have always wanted this TUL planner. (In the photo, I had purchased extra items). It's beautiful and well crafted. I like the refillable pages and you can add accessories and their gel pens. I really like this notebook. It's very sturdy, came with a good amount of paper, and the design is super sleek. It's a great alternative to buying a bunch of small disposable notebooks, refilling the paper is super easy.

TUL discbound notebook covers by itself is great. However, only one issue that I experienced with the notebook front cover was too tight for me to insert a sheet of paper. I had to use both hands and wiggled the paper in. I also added Staple Arc (dark blue) cover front pocket for comparison view.

    • Modularity is key
This is an excellent notebook. The ability to expand with larger binding rings, calendar and note taking packs makes it worth the price. Definitely not a one and done use item.
