These came semi-assembled and were very easy to put together. They are VERY sturdy, are soft but not too much and the fabric is lovely and feels quality! I got green that looks almost black in dark light. I did get covers as pet fur would stick (but would easily come out too from what I can tell...I just dont want to clean them all the time). These chairs look great. They were easy to assemble. They are pretty comfortable. I am overall very pleased with them. They are smaller than I thought though. They look somewhere between a normal dining chair and a kids chair in size.
