This collar is very tough and durable and looks great on our fur baby, Nera. Nera is a Great Pyrenees/ Black Labrador mix and she weighs 87lbs. Big baby girl to say the least. The elastic handle blends right into the collar but it’s easy to grab a hold of when needed. There are plenty of notches to fit the dog as needed and the notches are reinforced with thick metal as well as the buckle is good thick metal. This sturdy collar beats all those imported collars made with cheap metal or plastic. We are very happy with our purchase. We also had a great experience with the company. A few weeks after the purchase they wanted to check in and make sure we were happy with product or see if we needed any help. They were very professional and kind. Awesome Product! I was slightly worried purchasing a collar online without feeling it in my hand first, needless to say I was very happy with my purchase. The company does a great job in their description describing the actual product. Like they claim everything is heavy duty, which I need with a larger dog. Heavy duty metal buckle and eyelets, yet the collar feels like it is comfortable around my dogs neck. Once again, the product is American made, (which also weighed heavily on my purchase decision) and purchases support our small business economy as opposed to filtering more money out to Chin for inferior products Great Work!! ... show more

We have a new lab puppy who thinks our border collie needs to live collar free. I put 3 collars on my bc and within minutes, the pup chewed right through. He hasn't been able to chew through this collar, so our next problem is how to keep the pup from just grabbing the collar and leading the bc around. ... show more

This collar has it all. I like that it has a sturdy buckle. My dogs are strong and have snapped collars off before. This one is made well. It’s strong but still seems to be comfortable for my dogs. I also like that it comes in an XL. It’s nice that is reflective, and the bungie feature is cool too. I was happy with the price too. I would actually expect it to be priced higher since it’s made so well. And the customer service is excellent. I had no problems and was emailed just to make sure I liked their product. This collar is very sturdy and durable. The bonus of the handle is great, to quickly grab my dog when she tries to mad dash her way out of the house or yard when someone opens the door. The sizing, quality of the material and sturdy buckle is awesome for large dogs or puppies. I originally bought a extra large, because some large collars in the past have been too small or too loose, but my dog escaped those. I bought a medium/large and it fits perfect. The width of the collar is just right too. Some are ridiculously wide and others way too thin. This sits comfortably on her neck. My dog is a big girl for a pup. I added pictures to show her thick, furry neck, with her fancy flipped ear for extra razzle dazzle. She just turned 10 months and weighs 66 pounds. I’m still keeping the extra large for when she out grows her current collar. I highly recommend this ... show more

    • Great strong collar for my mastiff

I bought this for my English mastiff puppy. Didn't want to put too much money in a collar he would grow fast and I would need a new collar. I took the bigger size, so it would last longer. Well... I was happily surprised of the size of it and the sturdiness. My pup is now 11 month and has plenty of space to grow (we are only at the second hole). My pup is around 150lbs and I'm still using the handle to slowing him down, when he wants to greed someone. I don't really care for the elastic part of the handle, it's a little bit scary to me, I'm afraid that it will break. So, once I grab the handle, I usually put my hand under the collar and grab it. I used several collar with my other mastiff and the hardware always gives up. This one, the hardware seems to hold. I attached a rope directly into the collar and even after running and lunching himself, the collar and the rope stopped mastiff. Nothing broke (I finally found a rope that was strong enough). The little grey reflective stitches came apart a little but overall it's a very good collar for giant dog. ... show more

I bought this hoping it would be small enough to fit on my wife's dachshund/chihuahua mix and the collar barely was. The dog is roughly 12-14 pounds so I got the small (13"-17") version and had to put on the very first eyelet or it would be too big. If it had one more eyelet to make it smaller it would fit perfectly. Had to add a rubber band to keep the excess collar from flapping around. Other than the fit this collar is great. The reflective stitching is a nice touch and the collar itself appears to be well made with good material. The built-in handle is clever but for a small dog it likely isn't going to be useful as it is easier to pick the dog up instead if needed. Overall I am happy with this collar and hope it holds up to the abuse over time. Would recommend with caution that a small dog under 12 pounds will be too small around the neck for this collar to fit properly. ... show more
