My 3 and 1.5 yr old love to splash a lot during bath time. After several baths in a row yelling about the amount of water splashing out of tub onto floor and leaking under tub causing who knows what long term damage, I decided to buy a shelf that would give them more space to play in the tub and keep the water draining back into tub. This thing really works well for that purpose. The kids play hard with it, my son sometimes uses it as a slide into the bath tub. They pound on it and it holds up great, no bending, no cracking. Suction works good, especially first time. More than enough suction cups. I do find over time from kids leaning on it to get in and out of tub it starts to get unsuctioned and I need to press it back down. Not major inconvenience and that's usually when I clean under it anyway. Water will still find it's way out of the tub in the corners as this has space on either side (by design). I might invest in some corner guards as well for more complete waterproof, but for now I just keep a towel handy in case. I'll never go back to giving baths without this product. The damage it will prevent to your bathroom makes it a worthwhile investment and it's something that seems built to last a lifetime. ... show more

While the idea is awesome and would probably work great on a larger, more square-shaped tub, this unfortunately took up the majority of the side of our bath tub and made it difficult to wash our toddler. She absolutely loved having more space to play but the angle of our tub also allowed a small amount of water to pool on it. Not difficult to clean, however. This is the best thing ever. Very sturdy with all of the suction cups (it's not meant to be sat on, but let's get real, the kids will climb on it, and it hasn't fallen off yet with our 1.5 year-old and 3.5 year-old climbing on it). Extra space to drive cars and for dinos to stomp, and--the best part ever--if they pour water on it, the water flows harmlessly back into the tub. Please note that if your tub has a difference in width of the tub rail/side along the front, the item won't be able to adhere well with the suction cups. See the second picture. It won't go on our other tub. Also, if you have a potty-training kid who needs to get out of/into the bath a million times during the bath, they will need help getting in and out--I wouldn't recommend letting them try to climb on it, as it will be wet and slippery and then they have to jump off it onto the floor. Not speaking from experience, of course. ;) Also, depending on the length of your tub, it may not cover the whole length of the tub, so they can pour water out of it on the end potentially. Bottom line: worth the money, for your sanity and for your kid's increased enjoyment at bathtime. ... show more

I was really excited about this one, bcs my daughter loves to play in the tub. Honestly for the money they are asking for this, it is not worth it. The suction cups are so small it barely touches the surface of the tub and it keeps moving and coming off. It is made out of a hard plastic, it is sturdy and it catches most of the water she splashes around. I wish the edge was little taller. I was thinking about returning it but the bath time is just better with it than without it. I ll just have to put up a fight with the suctions every time and make sure it does not collapses on my daughter. ... show more
