Great value. I had a Viking before this and it was way more expensive and had less safety features. This unit surpasses my old one in quality and no need to pay more. Very satisfied. So far, so good. In addition it is the buyers responsibility to make sure it is installed correctly. In my case i built a cherry wood surround and raised it off the counter by a half inch. This will protect the glass edge from bumps. If the buyer lacks the skills they should hire a professional. If you followed the instructions and understood them there should be no problem. The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying I do not recommend the stove top! The only nice thing about it is, it looks nice! BEWARE!!! This is a potential fire hazard for your home. It gets extremely hot and it is very difficult to regulate the heat on each of the burners. I was trying to sauté onions as seen in the video and they burnt and it was only on the third setting. Sometimes I could not even get a pot of water to boil on a burner! The burners turn off when it thinks the temperature is too high, which makes no sense, because sometimes you need a high setting to boil even water! Also, the diagram on the stove top to show which knob is for which burner was backwards for us for the back two burnners! ... show more

It takes forever to get hot. I use my portable counter top stove. Very disappointed, but I threw out all the packaging so I couldn’t return it. Update: I was offered a full refund. The company reached out to me and offered me a full refund. You can’t beat the customer service and timely response.

I understand these sort of electric cooktop would be as powerful as stove. But it literally took so long to even boil water. I’m not sure if the smallest element just doesn’t work or just need longer time. I would say go get a more expensive version or just be patient. I spent significant amount of money installing this unit, then paying an electrician again to uninsall and install new one(different model). The electrician stated that this unit is wired (has 2 wires, not 3) for 110V not 220V and is impossible to heat properly if connected to 220V. Don't waste your money! ... show more
