I use these as a base layer for outdoor cycling in Fall, Winter and Spring in the Pacific Northwest. I'll adjust the jersey I use over this depending on the temperature and weather. I ended up owning 6 of these in various colors. These are warm and the micro-fleece lining is very comfortable used in damp outdoor activities from 35 degrees to about the low 50s. I've used these when caught on the trails in the rain and they wick reasonably well. These shirts seem to breathe and keep my perspiration away from my skin when I'm riding and feel good during a multi-hour ride. As others have mentioned, the compression is light so if you are looking for something really tight, you may want to look elsewhere. For your reference: I'm a 5'9 male at 170 lbs in not very good shape. L fits perfectly for me and it stretches where it needs to accommodate my unathletic physique. I have shirts from other brands in my wardrobe and I end up always going to these ones and the ones from Coovy Sports. Buy these get it right the first time. Think of these as tailored thermals, if you have a muscular build they are a much better fit and more comfortable than their basic thermals. Everything white sticks to the fabric. Perhaps that’s normal on this type of material. They worked well in a jam as they did provide an extra layer of warmth.
