  • Best compression shorts you can buy
Wore these to workout on the same day they arrived. If I could give these more than 5 stars, I would. Outstanding coverage and compression. These shorts provide legitimate compression and not light compression you get from name brands. Extremely good build quality - slightly thicker material than you get in other so-called compression shorts, and well sewn. The legs stay put - they don't ride up. Also, these shorts look outstanding and flatter your form. I don't wear outer shorts and these look good in the gym. My waist is a 36, and I'm on the bulky side with thick quads and developed glutes, and a men's large fit perfectly. AN XL would probably have worked as well, but I like my lycra tight. They're tight and give good compression, but they're not so tight as to be uncomfortable or so tight as to risk tearing and damaging when putting on or taking off. They have a draw string which I left untied because the waist band was plenty tight enough for me. Strong buy recommendation. UPDATE. I purchased two more pairs of these shorts. They are every bit as excellent as the first. If you want legit compression, this is it. ... show more

  • One of the very best
I am totally impressed with these shirts. Here’s why: - perfect fit - very high quality material - waistline does not slip, even has a draw string if you want to use it. I don’t have to. - this is the highest quality of compression shorts for the money. It’s right up there with BioSkins for much less. - helps my hamstrings considerably. - don’t be fooled by how light these are. Once you put them on, stretching them into place, you’ll be extremely happy with this product. - When I get back into active sports, I’ll wear these every day. - Comfortable enough for everyday wear if you have a groin or hamstring issue. - I gave searched everywhere for real compression shorts. These are the real deal. They have to be new to the market ‘cause I would have purchased them already. - best value for the money. I have found none other that come close. - I’ll be buying more. They’re that good. ... show more

  • Great Compression Shorts
Size: X-Large Color: Black & Gold
I bought two pair of XL and they fit great. Tight for compression but not uncomfortable. I where them under shorts or sweats for working out and for hiking. The string tie is completely unnecessary so I removed them. They stay in place without the string. I tried some other brands but then bought the second pair because the material was higher quality and they remained comfortable during an entire workout or long hike. ... show more

  • as nice as Virus V3 compression shorts
Size: X-Large Color: Black & Silver
I finally wore out my Virus V3 compression shorts, and had a one track mind to just get an identical pair. I have had them since early 2018, and train in them a lot. I don't do cross fit, I just do Olympic Weight Lifting, mixed with some power training. I grew so much, the seams and threading was coming apart. This was not a negative on Virus, My legs, and glute area just got that big. My disappointment, was Virus has stopped that part number I wanted. Those shorts were almost 70.00 usd. I have had a pair of Mava Knee wraps, and a set of Mava wrist wraps now for several years, of constant beatings. I saw a link to the Mava Compression shorts, and at first dismissed them, because they were so low in price. ( about 19.00 usd ) I just like black shorts, with little or no fancy designs on them. Well, I got a pair, and they were actually great. They have more compression, and silky smooth, and let in a lot more cooler air during the workout. They do stretch, and feel great in them. I got another pair, and have been looking to get a 3rd, slightly larger pair. I cant say enough about this kind above. I do heavy squats, front and back, dead lifts, snatch, clean and jerk, plus many accessory movements. I can almost predict, that this may be seen soon at many training halls. If they made a one piece lifting suit, I can even see they will make it on an Olympic stage, either Europeans, PanAMs, or World championships. Virus, had done the same, and now many athletes just don't train in them,( shorts ) but also compete in them. ( one piece lifting suit ) Come On Mava . . . make a good, quality lifting suit. You already know how to make the shorts very well. ... show more

  • Just what I needed.
Ok, here's the honest truth about these compression shorts. I've played competitive softball for over 40 years and I'm still playing ( just with kids my own age) and I've used compression shorts for the last 20 - 25 years. Under Armour, Mcdavid just to name a few. While cruising Amazon for a replacement I came across MAVA and I'm so glad I did. The price was fair they looked nice so I ordered a pair size medium silver. After reading a lot of the reviews I felt good about my decision BUT started to worry about the size. So I ordered another pair size large gold and planned on returning the pair that didn't fit. Well guess what, they both fit fine (go figure) so I'm keeping both pair. One of the best features about these shorts is the waist band and draw string. I say this because being 66 years old I do have a bit of a belly. The other brands such as UA and Mcdavid don't and use an elastic type band which just rolls down and the elastic wears out MAVA fixed this issue. I really hope these last for a good time. I've found the last brand of compression shorts I will buy. VERY much recommend these shorts. Don't be so worried about the waist size if you have tree trunk legs could be a problem. ... show more

  • first the good..
I'd give these things five stars if not for two issues... first the good... these things are TIGHT but they save your skin when doing some serious exercising (think hiit, cross fit ...even biking). I really do love them. They do exactly what you want/need them to do. Now the bad... mine have stitching that is giving up but not due to wear or bad sizing... the grey/silver stitching up the front right thigh was unraveling the day I got them. I kept an eye on them and decided to just keep the shorts but it's progressing and getting worse :( The other issue is also stitching and this time it is the bottom left inner leg... it's black stitching and also unraveling. I don't know if either will render the shorts unusable but this is an issue potential buyers may want to know and so maybe the company can get the feedback. This said, I would buy this brand again. ... show more
