  • Easy to learn and use
Color: Celestial Blue Size: Small
I have never snowshoed before and needed a winter activity to stay active outdoors. I did some research and found these were recommended for novices on general rolling terrain (that is, not for alpine climbing nor for deep powder). I ordered the large size which are rated 150# to 300# (68kg to 136kg) and can will fit larger size boots (I wear a US size 15). If you have never snowshoed, it does require a bit of practice to learn to walk with your legs apart so you don't step on the edge of the other snowshoe and take a tumble. I have been out 6 times and done some 8k+ treks through trails as well as through woods and they work great. The bindings lock in your boot size so there is no need to adjust for each use as long as you use the same footwear. The ankle straps release well for easy off and the ratchet tightening allows you to get a snug and secure fit, and the crampons keep you from slipping on icy spots on the trail. If you have not used snowshoes before I suggest you try them out somewhere easy until you get comfortable using them. Out on the trail you will want at least a good walking stick and ideally good poles to help with hiking and balance in uneven areas. Very happy with these! ... show more
