Installed on a Springfield XD9sc and XD45c. I personally prefer front and rear sights to be different colors at night so was a little worried about all of them being green with this sight but I actually found when looking at night you can still tell a difference with the front sight from rear. Front sight is slightly less wide than the factory sights, so I centered it between the markers on the slide and went shooting, seems to be close enough to zero. Overall, they glow at night, look good in the day, so not much more to a sight than that. Careful removing the factory sights though, those are an absolute beast on Springfield XD's. ... show more

Excellent night sights. Great value. Knocking off one star because because the front sight was not the same width as the oem sight on my Springfield XD subcompact. What i mean is on the slide there groves that show you the exact spot to line up for a perfect sight alignment. The tru glos was a bit short. If they had made the base exactly like oem it would take the guessing game out of it during installation. The rear was same width as oem. Line it up to the groves and you’re done. ... show more

As an instructor, we go over every piece of equipment. We discuss its purpose, and usability. I recently qualified a one-arm gentleman to carry concealed in California. He had to shoot well under time, with multiple mag changes. Thanks to the rear sight, he could change mags and continue shooting almost as fast as those with two arms (and faster than some). The Tritium is bright and clear at night. The rear sight is nicely blacked out during the day. And... the forward cant of the rear sight makes one-handed mag changes easy. This means, whether your arm is injured, you're carrying valuables (or your child), you won't be stuck with no ability to change magazines! That's huge! Great job Truglo! ... show more

I decided to try these as replacements for a set of Trijicons I had on a Springfield XD. Installation was a breeze. No filing or fitting. The starting edge of the appears to be beveled a bit to make starting insertion into the groove on the pistol slide easier. You can start it with your fingers. I have a pusher so it was very easy after that. The sight is machined well. It went in with medium resistance. This would have been pretty easy with just a brass punch if that’s all you had. The sights are well machined. They have smooth corners and are snag free. But the rear sight has enough of a ledge to hook on something intentionally if you had to cycle the slide one handed. The tritium capsules appear to be equally as bright as the Trijicons I had. I very much like the thick bright orange donut around the front sight. Very high vis in daytime. ... show more

Major improvement over the factory sights. I am 50, average eye sight with glasses. Sights provide a clear, easy to acquire sight picture day and night. Lamps are very bright. Great design. The rear sight has all the hard edges "melted". Will not cut shirts when you carry concealed. Installed them in no time. Don't have a pusher, hammer and brass drift worked just fine. ... show more
