Had to do some property clearing and bought a Savage 64 to do it. Due to some wild Groundhogs they damaged 3 vehicles on our property for over $3800. We tried the non violent ways to remove using scents, noise makers, even a secure trap only to see one get caught and two others hold it open. When the third hit and that alone was $2400 the van got the wiring underneath chewed on. FYI got told that modern wiring insulation is made using SOY Products, imagine that....Food for animals. I used this as a scope for a .22LR . Although it’s not the intended application it held up great. Holds true even with being shaken around a bit and jostled from transportation. Comes with scope covers and a micro fiber cloth. Really good bang for your buck

Had this for about 3 years on a ruger .22. It works. Wife dropped it about 3 feet onto a tile floor only a small dent on the top. No interior damage and it still functions properly. Nice little scope.

As a previous reviewer mentioned, the rings that come with this scope are NOT for a regular weaver/picatinny rail. It is, as the item description states, a 3/8" dovetail mount common on rimfire rifles and some airsoft. I mounted this on a Marlin .22 magnum bolt action. The scope is narrow/high enough to clear the bolt with just a little room to spare. The 3/8" rings have a nice sharp edge with solid allen bolts for a good, stable mount on the rifle's dovetail grooves. It feels like a dependable attachment overall. The eye relief is forgiving enough for the rifle to be handy; the 4x magnification is fairly good quality; the cross hairs seem to zero easily and stay there; overall a decent performing scope for the money. The thing I like most about this particular configuration is the fast target acquisition with both eyes open. You just kind of scan the sagebrush with both eyes, rifle in ready position. Then when you find your target, shift focus slightly through the scope with your shooting eye, close your other eye and squeeze off your shot. Using it in this way, it's an effective optic for relatively precise 50 yard shooting in a hurry. Obviously you're not getting any kind of state-of-the-art optics for this price, but it is a good value for what it is. I've bought cheaper scopes thinking they would be good enough, but then either given them away or stuffed them in a box in the closet. This little scope is a keeper--I'll leave it on the .22 mag as my go-to for rabbit stew! ... show more

    • A nice little scope for the money
I purchased this scope to mount on a Henry H001T .22LR lever action rifle. The compact form factor of the scope was a major selling point given the receiver's short length and my desire that the scope not visually "overwhelm" the gun. The included rings were the perfect height for this application, not only clearing both the rear iron sight at the front of the scope and the hammer at the rear, but also placing the centerline at the proper position for a natural and comfortable cheek weld with the stock. The rings are also quite sturdy and have a somewhat tacti-kool look to them, which some my find attractive. (Note: You'll need a hammer extension if you put almost any scope on a lever action. These extensions are inexpensive and available from many retailers, including Amazon.) The optics are very good given the price of this scope, but of course not comparable to those in my Leupolds. Light gathering is sufficient for dusk or dawn shooting, and it's at this time you'll appreciate the relatively thick duplex reticle, as it won't disappear as easily when the image is dimming away. Given that most targets for this scope will be within 100 yards, the thicker cross hairs aren't a noticeable hindrance to consistent shot placement. Shooting from a bench rest, this combination will make sub 1" groups at 50 yards all day long. I couldn't ask for any more than that. My overall impression of the scope is probably closer to 4 stars, but I bumped my review up to 5 based on value compared to the price. This is a good scope for plinking and small game, and if you have reasonable expectations you'll be more than happy to own one. ... show more

    • Good little scope
This came with rings, but the recoil from my Gamo Whisper .22 was too much for them to handle. I could not tighten them on the rail enough to keep the scope from sliding backwards. Once I replaced the rings it was easy to zero and to keep that way. If not for the rings I would have given it 5 stars.

I ordered a shotgun scope as advertised. What I received was a rimfire/air rifle scope with 3/8 rings. (Sure I could order weaver style rings and mount it to the shotgun) The title is absolutely deceptive. Instead of immediately requesting refund and return, I mounted the scope to my ruger blackhawk elite air rifle and I am pleased with the results. So although the advertisement really needs to be corrected I am ok with this purchase. I still would like to have the shotgun scope that I was looking for so I guess I'm back to shopping. ... show more
