  • Great Machine. Spiral bound is the way to go!
I've only had this machine for a little while, but it's obvious it's going to pay for itself in very short order! Not sure why it seems like everyone is only selling the Comb Binding machines, but if you've ever used a spiral bind, you will never consider going back. This machine works great and is super easy to set-up and use. Took me only a few minutes to get it out of the box and start using it. It was simple to use as well. Everything is pretty much self explanatory and I had my first book punched and spiral bound in only a few minutes. The electric coil inserter was a nice added bonus as well. It works way better than expected, inserting the coil all the way in in only a couple seconds. All in all I'm very happy with this machine and my purchase, and would definitely recommend it to others. ... show more

  • Great low production binder - easy to use - Sturdy
This machine arrived quicker than I expected. Sturdy. Easy to punch if you use less than 7 or 8 sheets at a time. Holes line up perfectly. You can even adjust the depth of where the holes will land. Okay, now to the electrical part of the binding. I have never used this type of machine before, it took me several times to figure it out, but then it was very natural. Once it starts - it goes quick. The binder is somewhat loud, runs at a high rpm. I do believe this machine is built well enough to last for years. ... show more

  • So far so good!
So far it's been pretty good! Easy instructions and easy to operate. One HUGE draw back for me and why I took one star off; the power cord is so short. I know it's only used to power the roller to roll the coil on but I had the machine half hanging off my table to reach an outlet. I will be buying an extension cord to be designated to this machine. ... show more

  • Great Machine!!
Where has this been all my life. I've been homeschooling for 30 years. The amount of copies and 3-ring binders I've been thru could fill a room. I've never liked binders because of the bulk. This is perfect for putting together my own booklets for the kids and teaching plans. I have yet to figure out the auto binder....sometimes I can get it to go through easily but most of the time I do it by hand. ... show more

  • Love it
This is great for binding Velcro activities as a special education teacher! I now make books instead of file folder activities! That way I can use the strong laminate in my scotch laminator instead of the flimsy evil machine. It's easy to use, butt I watched several YouTube videos on how to crimp the edges ... show more

  • Punch Cleanliness
This Coil Binding Machine is great value for the money. The punching mechanism is clean but the material is pulled a little as the punches withdraw. This has little impact of the cleanliness of the holes when punching paper, but when punching vinyl covers each hole has a slight burr, where the material has been pulled upward. I like the machine and will monitor the punch mechanism to see how the machine performs over time. I should point out the machine paid for itself with one run of 30 manuals, and in every other way was fast, simple, and effective in use. ... show more

  • Teacher's Helper
I purchased his product July of 2018 and proceeded to put it through a tough workout. I spent part of my summer coil binding 180 books for my students. I LOVED how nice the machine worked. Then May of 2019 approached and I noticed that the electric binding part of the machine wasn't working. I was devastated! I sent a message to Lamination Depot to see if they could help with the issue. They told me it was still under warranty and to send it back and they would fix it or replace it. It was tough prying the machine out of my fellow teachers hands, but I prevailed and was able to send it back. I recently received the machine back and did the happy dance. However, when I turned the machine on...the electric coil binder didn't work. I was a little disheartened, so I contacted the Lamination Depot again. They are AMAZING!!! They thought they had fixed it, but apparently during transit it was tossed around and broke again. Without even batting an eyelash, they (are sending) sent a new one. This company has our business. A company that is helpful and that stands behind their product is a rare find indeed. Thanks to Lamination Depot for all your help! ... show more

  • Good for a basic binder
I just received this item and did one job and was fairly happy with the product. Our booklet was printed on 80# cover and I found that I could only punch 3 pages at a time. The punching took the longest time in the assembly and it jams pretty easily if more are fed. Extricating pages is difficult because there is no reverse feed. The crimper/cutters cut well but don't really crimp, but that could be an issue with the plastic coils - they don't really crimp. Those are my frustrations and the limitations of the machine. The guides stay put - I didn't have any shifting, so my punches were always accurate - that's important! The electric roller for the coil is just plain fun. There is a world of difference in capacity between this and a binding machine that can handle heavier loads - and there is a world of difference in price. This will do just fine for occasional small-ish jobs (ours was 100 booklets, 10 pages). ... show more
