  • You just can't compare it to a cheap scope
Color: Green Style: Crosshair .308
Having owning many scope from cheap to expensive. I know for a fact that I do not compare it to a cheaper scope because majority of them are just not in the same league as Trijicon. Trijicon known for its' ruggedness and quality build overall. Glass is very clear specially this model which has a 35mm objective lens and has an eye relief of 2.4" compare to the more popular 32mm model which is only 1.4". It's hard to choose which model to get but I know from experience that bigger objective means brighter view. 3.5x fix zoom is just about the perfect size IMO for most task unless you really want to see where/what you're hitting from beyond 100yd range then by all mean, Trijicon Accupoint is the way to go. The green illumination fiber & tritium is the most expensive model of the three choices they have (Red, Green, Amber). Fiber is bright in the day and could be blinding on a very sunny day. A black electrical tape will help cover up the plastic fiber atop the scope to reduce green glow. I do have a little complaint on my somewhat dim tritium or maybe it's just me. Also, green is by far the easiest color to see at least for me. Why waste all those money buy dozen of cheap scope that can break with a bump when you can have just one that you can count on with your life? Sure, you might think nothing will happen to you and you will never need a scope as good as this, but you never know. No country is bullet proof that can escape SHTF moment. Beside, Trijicon product holds value better than most scope so you know you can always get majority of your investment back as long as you keep it in a good condition. Even an ok condition scope, you can get half of your investment back. This is a wise investment as the mighty Dollar keep falling every day. It's like buying gold except you can use this right away. Go ahead, spoil yourself and get this baby home. Side note: Make sure you buy it from reputable seller, one that is an actual Trijicon dealer (Amazon, Opticplanet, etc...) and not individual sellers. There are alot of fake out there so beware. Search "fake Trijicon Acog" on the web and you'll know what I mean. ... show more

  • Bomb-Proof Optic, Clear Glass, Well Worth the Cost!
Color: Black Style: Chevron .308
I mounted this sight directly to an ACOG-specific mount on a FAL PARA. This is well worth the high cost of admission. The optic is bomb-proof. I dare say the rifle will probably fail before the optic does! You don't need batteries - the fiber optic and tritium gas illuminate the reticle. The glass is very clear and high quality. The chevron and ranging stadia are simple to use. The Bindon Aiming Concept - using both eyes and focusing on the target, not the reticle - takes some practice. At close range, you just paint the chevron on the target and fire. The cost of using a flip-to-side magnifier with a dot sight is almost comparable to this ACOG, but with very little advantage. The M-16 carry handle iron sight channel works just as well on the FAL - you can use the factory iron sights through the channel, though you'll really need a stock without a cheek riser to use the irons - with the riser to use the ACOG. Pic attached is of this ACOG on the FAL PARA. Out of the box, mine shot 18" low and 6" right. Within 40 rounds I was sighted in and ringing steel gongs at 200 yd. ... show more

  • Finally Got one. Make that #2 now.
Color: Amber Style: Chevron 5.56 (.223 cal)
I was thrilled to finally get one. It served me well. My son completed sniper school. As a reward, I gave him a free pick of any of my guns. I have a couple. Should of known better he actually moved so fast I thought he time warped. Next thing I saw was baby being driven away. Didn't have to tell him twice that's for sure. My old baby was an AR15 pistol. $3500 . My new baby is An Alexander Arms Beowulf 50 cal. $3500 as well. Rifle 2k Acog 1.3k plus accessories = $3500 . Good thing I like Ramen noodles isn't it. You have to pay to play. I saw something in the mountains of Blue Ridge that changed my whole life. Changed everyone that was with me. I'm the only one left that still goes up into those mountains. When your life could be forfeit. you want the best. You want to know there won't be problems. And for that, it's going to cost you bucky's $$$$$$$. Acog is the best money can buy. And there's nothing fancy or dazzling about them. But they never let you down. Peace. ... show more

  • Elite
Color: Green Style: Crosshair 5.56 (.223 cal)
The field of view is very comfortable. The clarity of the Optics is absolutely incredible. The low light sensitivity is unbelievable. I could make out everything in the neighborhood with nothing but Starlight and distant Street lamps. The magnification level is just about perfect for everything I want to do which is under 200 yards. ... show more
