  • Efficient and Inexpensive!
This adapter works great!!! I'm giving it a 4 because when I first got it, I had so many issues with it tripping on and off. I eventually tweaked around with the settings both on the adapter and my computer and it is functioning well now. The only problem I'm yet to figure out is how to stop it from disconnecting to the internet when my laptop goes to sleep and how to get it to automatically connect to saved networks. Because, even though I have clicked the 'Connect automatically' option, it does not connect automatically. I would recommend this product to anyone I know. It's cheap (for its capabilities) and efficient and very very portable. ... show more

  • Gets the Job Done
I like how easy the TRENDnet Wireless adapter is to use. As expected with its size, the actual range that this receiver picks up is efficient enough in smaller local networks, but not necessarily that great at picking up and efficiently using wifi from a distance. If you need a wifi receiver to use out and about, or in home (CLOSE TO THE MODEM/ROUTER), then this will get the job done. Only real negative thing I noticed was that while the company claims the product can utilize speeds of up to 150 Mbps, after multiple tests I only got between 15-25 Mbps while on signal strengths of wifi ranging from 50 Mbps to 150 Mbps. ... show more

Small and fast. I originally used this for my Raspberry Pi and it worked perfectly. I have since moved this to a desktop computer for my children to do their homework on it and it works just as well there.

  • working well in Rpi2
Decent range and performance. It's working well with my Raspberry Pi 2.0, although I think I'll need to beef up the wall wart power supply to handle the additional current drawn by this device.

  • This was perfect for the job
I have an old computer that I needed to connect to my wireless network for just a few little things before I decommission the old computer. This was perfect for the job. Easy to hookup and not too expensive.

  • Not bad, but not great.
I used it a couple of times and then I had it stored away and when I tried to use it again, it was dead. Luckily it was still under warranty (within a year), so I sent it to the manufacturer and they sent me a new one. While I was getting this one exchanged, I purchased another one for under $8.00 (generic brand) and worked great too. • Not for Ubuntu 18.04/Kernel 4.15.+
Changes in the Linux kernel have maybe broken the wifi driver for this specific device, I've ordered 2 other products (TP link and Panda?) to see if they provide more support. The Trendnet driver does not compile/recompile with issues in the "timer" code of the kernel, and there is a scramble on the forums regarding 4.15 changes breaking this and many other wifi adapters. • Excellent Item
This wireless adapter is perfect because it's powerful and small unlike the bigger adapters that break off all the time. Plug in and forget, and it has a great cover range, I think it's even more than the product features say it is. This is just the thing for you if your upgrading your computer to wireless N or if your like me and have a PC that doesn't have a built-in wireless adapter. ... show more
