The new Maxx charge feature takes full advantage of lipo batteries’ high charge rates. Press the maxi charge button and the right side charges at the maximum charge Rate the battery will allow (up to 16 amps). the left side receives the remaining power until the right side finishes and then the left side switches to Maxx power mode. This innovative design gets one battery ready in nearly half the time so you’re back in the action having fun. The EZ-Peak live dual is a true multi- chemistry charger. The charger automatically detects the Type and size of your iD-equipped battery and configures the settings for the fastest charge possible. Very easy to use and safe. Love the live app. Charges 2s 7600mah battery in about 20 minutes on balanced charge mode. Highly recommended

    • Awesome but still expensive
This is by far the best and most expensive charger I have purchased. It is a great charger. Charges very fast. Max charge mode is cool. The app is great and you need it to charge legacy batteries. I charge my batteries in the garage and watch tv in the house and can see the status of the batteries on my phone. And my phone beeps when they are done. I’d buy it again. $150 is a bit pricey since this has been out for a couple of years. But at least it’s not $199 like when it first came out. So you decide. It also was able to charge a couple of my buddies batteries that the standard 2790 charger could not recognize. His batteries were a new and under charged and this worked great ... show more

Amazing charger! Works very well and is very simple to use. The app for this is pretty cool too! Highly recommend this charger if you have a lot of Traxxas R/C’s with different battery types and want them to charge quick and safe! (Haven’t tried a non-Traxxas battery as of yet, I hear you can as there are covers that pop off on the front for balancing port access. You will loose the detail in the app I believe but will still get the charge.) ... show more

    • Expensive, but easy hands-off management of Traxxas LIPOs is worth it
I have a few other non-smart LIPO chargers. They are objectively better than this one if you're willing to manage amperage and voltage. However, if you have Traxxas brand batteries, this is the way to go. Pros: -Set and forget charging. No need to set charging amperage. No need to set storage voltage or # of cells. -2x100watt charging makes charging 2x3s batteries or 2x4s batteries a breeze. -Relatively quick charging -Phone app allows you to setup charging for non-traxxas batteries with more detail than other Traxxas chargers. Not as good as a generic lipo charger for this, but it works. Cons: -It works with non-Traxxas batteries if you take the balance lead covers off, but it doesn't give you some of the stats that you'd want without using your phone. -The app works well, but it hasn't been updated for the larger/wider screens. UI can be cumbersome. It works for what it is. ... show more

    • We have just recently bought this charger and into RC cars.
We bought this charger after getting a slash for Christmas. We then added a Slash 4x4 ultimate and finally an X Maxx. Most of the batteries we have charged have been Traxxas. Recently I charged a HRB 14.8V 6000mAh 4S 50C 100C RC Lipo Battery with this charger that I bought for our X Maxx. I had to read the manual and get the app to charge this battery but it was pretty straight forward. The battery worked great in the X Maxx and the charger has been great so far. ... show more

    • Great Charger
This is my 1st RC in the last 20 years or so, and I needed a charger for my new Traxxas Summit 1/10, so I bought this. The EZ Peak Live feature is pretty neat. I get to monitor my batteries when I'm doing other things. I know that is not recommended, but who sits there and watches their battery charge? Tell me, WHO?!? LOL! Anyway, this thing charges really fast (25minutes), if in storage mode. I just wish from full charge to storage was a lot faster (4~5 hours). I'm VERY new to lipos, so this could be normal... As I don't have anything to compare this to. Oh, and another thing I REALLY like is being able to charge 2 batteries at the same time! If it only had 1 port, it would take me almost an hour before I can run my Summit because it needs 2 batteries! So if you have an Traxxas RC that needs 2 batteries, get this one. ... show more
