Used this set a few times now, you could say I’m a travelpro… I’ve only checked the larger case. It’s a nice set for this price, although I paid a good bit less than the $329RRP. I don’t see why some are complaining about quality, you can see from the finishes like reinforced corners, handles made from quality material and 100% polycarbonate that this is as good as you get in this price range. If they end up broken they must have been severely mishandeld by loading staff. The extendable handles extend to the same height for different size case which is a nice touch (easily wheeled together in one hand). I did notice that if you don’t push the handle down on one of the cases it sometimes doesn’t lock in place -it does without problem if you do or let it drop in- however I can imagine that if the handles is not locked in place and it moves out after you checked it in it’s likely to be broken as someone reported. If you make sure the handle is locked in place I imagine this is unlikely to happen. The extendable handle has profiled metal which actually makes this much stronger and less likely to break than what you find on cheap cases. The only improvement I see is that I would like to have the wheels more recessed into the case, this protects them a bit more, makes the case more stable and the overall height a bit less, although it would cost some interior space. Overall I definitely recommend these cases. Update after almost 1 year of owning this set; The smaller case I travel with regularly and check it in about twice a month. The handle doesn’t lock down at all now anymore, so if it would move out after checking in there is obviously a risk of it breaking. Luckily this hasn’t happened. Otherwise the bag is holding up well. Deducted 1 star for the non -down- locking handle (it still locks in the extended positions). ... show more

Pros: super light and easy to pull around on the wheels, love the inner zip pockets Cons: scuffed very easily - I just returned from my first trip with this set and am very disappointed it scuffed when it is meant to be more resistant. I would’ve returned these to get a different color or set if I could since the scuffs are so obvious. I got the set of the carry on and the regular suitcase. I must admit that I have not used the large check bag yet because it it so big! So, I’m used to traveling with one carry on bag and a backpack. The suitcase was aspirational. It will be great if I have to move someday! The carry on bag however, what a treat what a dream! I’ve never had a hard case carry on before and I was concerned a bit about not having an outer pocket, but this bag is roomy enough for everything I could need and my stuff feels safely encased. The wheels slide like butter in every direction, and it just feels like I look like I have my travel shit together, you know? 10/10. Live your best life. ... show more

In the photo are the Samsonite Omni, TravelPro Roundtrip, and the Maxlite Air. The Omni only has a zippered compartment on one side. The Roundtrip has noticeably bigger and better wheels. The Maxlite Air looks sleek, but it’s true that the handles are too tight and the suitcase will hurt your fingers. We ended up only keeping the Roundtrip set. They were great for our packing needs. The smaller one held all my husband’s things with extra room to spare for a long weekend trip. I fit most of my clothes on one side of the larger suitcase, plus fit 3 pairs of boots and some more clothes on the other side, with room to spare. I way overpacked with extra clothes due to it being winter, throwing extra items in at the last minute, and knowing I had the room on a road trip. The larger suitcase fits a lot, but will take up a lot of room, so it could be something to consider if you have a small car. Another con is that the exterior seems to show dust more easily than the other bags did. ... show more

I inspected the luggages and wheels were very easy to maneuver, telescopic handles worked perfectly, all zippers working properly, no damages to either luggage, properly packed. I worked in the aerospace business all over the world and never had problems with my Luggage from Travel Pro....This was bought this for my wife, and she loves it. I'm retired now, and I prefer travel by tossing a duffle type bag into the back of a car. RV with jeep behind it works well. .... just tired of airports and flights. I initially really loved this luggage set when I received it last year. I was looking for a moderately priced, reliable brand of luggage and thought I landed on that with TravelPro. I was also interested in their warranty on the product, which was a large part of my decision as well. The first flight I took, the luggage got fairly scuffed up, as expected, but a non-issue for me. In the past year, I've taken 5 flights with the luggage and had pretty good success. One flight, the main zipper had busted open when I received it at baggage claim, but the inner zippers kept everything inside, so no big deal. On my fifth flight with this luggage, I received the bag missing a wheel (as shown in photos). I contacted customer service to receive a replacement wheel, but was told they had none in stock and didn't plan to have any in the future. This essentially meant that I could no longer use this piece of luggage, as I didn't feel comfortable hoping a random replacement wheel would work as well as the original. Amazon did allow me to return the item (a year after purchase), but assured me I would receive a full refund, only to be charged a restocking fee. I would just avoid purchasing from TravelPro, and especially on Amazon. ... show more
