This is a remarkably useful umbrella if you're visiting a tropical location, or even a theme park in Florida on a hot, sunny day. This umbrella is made of super-thin fabric, but it seems to be durable. The hardware feels a bit low-budget, and it can be challenging to get it to "click" to stay open (and then to release to close it), but - for the price - this is a very good value, if only for protection from the heat. The umbrella's light weight—even in its carrying case—is a plus if you want to throw it into a beach bag, tote, or large purse. It's bulky but not heavy. What matters to me is this: When it's beastly hot at Disney World, opening this umbrella and holding it overhead provides almost instant relief. If you're in a hot location and the sun makes you miserable, this umbrella is an excellent value, and possibly a (literal) life saver. ... show more

It’s great from a travel perspective because it’s small. But it is very flimsy and if the wind blows it’s done for, to be fair it does bend back. Just not very sturdy.

I wanted a compact, travel umbrella for my daughter to put in her backpack, as she walks to and from school. I could use one as well, so thought this was a good deal, and they were pretty colors. I also liked that they had zipper cases so they don’t get smashed or broken. I took mine on vacay and it came in handy as we got hit with a downpour while in Charleston. I opened the umbrella and at first I thought I was doing something wrong and it wasn’t expanding and opening all the way. But no. That was as big as it got. It is tiny. The umbrella part it self was a pretty normal size but the handle was super short and if you hold it in your hand next to your face, it’s just making it over your head, if that makes sense. The metal in the umbrella also feels very cheap. I am super disappointed with this purchase and need to buy new travel umbrellas because these are just 👎🏻. ... show more
