I will be traveling soon and knew I would do alot of walking I wanted an umbrella that would protect me from the sun without it being too big to walk down sidewalks and with the sun not glaring through thin material this has exceeded my expectations . The sun does NOTshine through and it is the perfect personal side shade.. Kind of hard to close but nothing to stop a purchase also does not have a button for release or extend the only reason for the missing star ... show more

It opens to a pretty good size for how small it folds up, but that's the only good thing I can say about it. Open and closing this thing is like a wrestling match, and the way it's built is shoddy beyond words. The canopy isn't even properly sewn onto the frame, it's held on with those little plastic things used for attaching tags to plush toys! One of the ribs snapped after only 8 months, and for 3/4 of that time it was sitting in its case not being used! Take my advice and buy something sturdier, even if it doesn't fit in a bag as easily. ... show more

Spent a week in New Orleans Sept. 2024 and love love loved umbrella! Very very light to carry in my crossbody. Several rainstorms required umbrella! Very easy to auto pop open umbrella! No wind to speak of in French Quarter when I was there. I bought the lavender and like the black underside interior. Dryer very quick and easy to get back into the carry sock case and the hard case.
