Very easy to use, I bought it for my son to learn English, simple and easy to operate, a teaching can use, the translation is very accurate and detailed. Now my son uses it to learn English every day, basically operating alone, freeing me. A good helper for moms or people who don't speak English.πŸ‘

    • Portable and Compact
PROS: It is a very compact addition to a wheelhouse of electronic tools. It translates quickly and accurately when you speak clearly. The display is bright and also clear. It is compact, so you can carry this with you and be at the ready if you encounter another person who does not speak your language to make communication with them easy. It has an auto off feature, so it turns off when not in use to save the charge. The language choices are expansive, so unless you are trying to translate to some obscure language, this pen will provide a quick interpretation. CONS: There are no decent directions. It took me 2 days to get it to operate in any mode other than voice translate. Until you select if you are left or right-handed it won't scan anything. It was only when I selected this option that I finally got it to read text. I find the scanning process cumbersome. The output is a mixture of upper- and lower-case characters. Odd. Holding the pen steady while moving it along text takes some skill. If you slide off at all, it doesn't translate. Speech translation works great, but I already have an app that handles that. It also requires you to select the language in each mode instead of automatically changing all of the modes to the same language. If I want to translate into one language for a written translation, and then change to a different language for voice translation, you must change the language it is currently set to. This has to be done each time you change languages or modes. Still can't select anything in the dictionary to see anything but Chinese. I really thought the pen would be more intuitive. I don't understand the dictionary functionality at all. I scanned the word "help" and it responded that there is no relevant interpretation. Overall if you are travelling to another country or need to speak with clients who speak a different language, the pen can definitely help bridge the communication gap. ... show more

I bought this pen for my dyslexic daughter to use in college - in testing before she left we found that the voice is terrible. The voice is 1980's quality, robotic - not clear or smooth to aid in understanding. Returning the pen to find something better suited for text to speech.

I bought this for an individual who has trouble reading he is not very technical either. I showed him how to work it and he picked it up very fast. It will open up a whole new world for him since he now can scan books and documents and here it read to him. I highly recommend this. Also, it translates and saves your document. And you don't have to have it hooked up to the Internet or even use a cell phone. Excellent product. He was amazed and excited to get it and was impressed how easy it worked. Also he had no idea these products even existed. He would go all the way 50 miles to the library and use their reading machine which definitely was a inconvenience. Also you can talk to it in English and it will translate it to the desired language you want and then the person can press a button speak their language and it will translate it and speak to you in English. The media could not be loaded. I've been using this translator pen for a while, and it's been a lifesaver for my family. My mom doesn't speak much English, so she takes it to her doctor appointments, and it has made a world of difference for her. The best part is its ability to scan any language and translate it right away, speaking it out loud. It's so much easier than trying to type everything into a phone. I've tried the Chinese to English translations, and they're pretty accurate, which is really reassuring. You can also speak to it, and it translates your words into the language you choose, which is such a cool feature. With so many languages supported, it covers almost everything I need when traveling internationally. I'm planning a trip to Thailand soon, and I'm thinking about borrowing this pen from my mom or maybe getting another one for myself.     • Ok Translator Pen
The pen is easy to use. However, the pen will not connect to iPhone either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The voice translator must be connected to the Wi-Fi to use. This can be a major inconvenience in a household or on the street if you do not have access to Wi-Fi. I was very disappointed in the pen.

This product is simply to use. Screen is wide enough to operate and the menu is clear. Translate feature is fast and accurate. One of the best devices to create text files of the language you scan. Highly recommend.
