I use to own the Franklin. Well, that was years ago and many updates back. This Lexibook is A+. I'm a comp Scrabble player and I'm here to tell U this is invaluable--Must have. It does many things your phone or a dictionary can't provide. This has a function to reveal front and back hooks, patterns(eg 5 letter words that end in Y), anagrams(multiple words with same letters)powerful tool--word that begins with S and the other 1 that ends in S so, most like 1 will play. $40--it is a Steal--Buy This!!! Button responsiveness excellent, also now has a Cache for problematic words. SCROLL wheel is wow--so useful. ... show more

First one came with a low battery and died on the second day I used it. Reordered another and pretty much the same thing. Low battery. Fails and restarts randomly. It has a date on it of 2017, and I suspect that the battery was already 5 years old when I received it. Looking at other recent reviews, it look as tho those who did replace the battery - it didn't last long. Poor quality. ... show more

Battery wore out after one day, had to replace it., must have been on the shelf for a long time. Screen is so pale that it is hard to read. Not easy to search for some things... had an old one, that worked a thousand times better.. Sorry I spent that much money on this.... seldom using it.... Don't Buy It! ... show more

    • This is the 2nd one we ordered and neither of them work correctly.
Unscramble letters to find words from those letters. The function doesn’t work correctly. This is the 2nd one we ordered. The screen on the first one was so damaged when we received it, you couldn’t make out the letters, I don’t think they have very good quality control.

Poor with no directions for use and bad battery! Very poor product!

    • Doesn’t work well
The battery died the day I got it and then I bought new batteries for it. With the new battery in it says low battery still and shuts off randomly.
