  • Omega Supreme makes an appearance!!!
Omega Supreme is by far my favorite Transformer and he finally made an appearance in the final issue of this volume, Spotlights: Optimus Prime. Spotlights: Optimus Prime also introduced the gestalt Transformers but it doesn't explicitly identify the gestalt Transformer. The action kicked up a notch with Stormbringer and Escalation. I also like the reading ordering that IDW presented. Lots to enjoy and highly recommended for Transformer fans especially those who grew up with the G1 Transformers from the 1980s. ... show more

  • Can't beat it for the price
Like the IDW collection volume 1, this one is also a fantastic bargain and is a keeper. The book is quite large at 392 pages, and is made from high quality paper. There is a string page keeper built in so you don't lose your place in the collection. The collection is just the stories in the description, and has NO extras. The art varies throughout the book. Strombringer has some of the best Transformers art you will ever see, while Escalation leaves much to be desired. You will enjoy the spotlight series included, as they all combine to tell an overall story with each containing bits and pieces. My favorite spotlight story is Ultra Magnus in the collection. You see him as an enforcer of the law and he is chasing down Scorponok. Great artwork in that story. This volume includes the following: STORMBRINGER: Written by Simon Furman and art by Don Figueroa ESCALATION: Written by Simon Furman, with art by E.J. Su SIXSHOT: Written by Simon Furman with art by Rob Ruffalo RAMJET: Written by Stuart Moore with art by Robby Musso ULTRA MAGNUS: Written by Simon Furman with art by Robby Musso KUP: Written and drawn by Nick Roche MIRAGE: Written by George Strayton, with art by Guido Guidi OPTIMUS PRIME: Written by Simon Furman with art by Don Figueroa. ... show more

  • What can I say? Its "more than meets the eye"! (I was too excited and bought all the Seven volumes available)
And YES, It is a must for every transformers fan. Pages are in impecable condition. It even has a foreword from the artists in the beginning. And for all those thinking there are no cover arts. YES they are IN there. I love the hard covers of each Volume. A Decepticon / Autobot stands out with its massive bust. Way cool. My only hope if they would release the G1 Comic Encyclopedia again MTMTE Volumes, and in this very way. (But thats another story) --------------- About the shippment. I am from Chile and I requested this comic through Amazon. The comics did arrive in the nick of time (even earlier than I expected) and in impecable condition. So.. Five Stars for this. .............. One important notice. For all you transformers fans. I would highly recommend to buy these editions now. They are invaluable. If you wait too long (maybe a couple of years), maybe its value would raise too much and two things might happen. I will be out of stock! You might find it for an absurd price like it happened on the More Than Meets the Eye Transformer encyclopedia. (Right now the prices is very reasonable). And I will end once again. It's very much worth it. ... show more

  • Well worth it
The binding is good and strong, I do wish this series was organised chronologically rather than by theme , so you may have to look up a reading guide. The book itself is beautifully crafted

  • Great purchase
After about a 25+ year hiatus from reading comics I ran across IDW’s story of the transformers. I purchased a few of the smaller volumes but this was perfect. Puts the story in chronological order and cheaper than buying six or more smaller volumes

  • Awesome awesome retelling of the transformers series
Awesome awesome retelling of the transformers series. I got this one first because volume 1 was sold out. But it just got restocked so I ordered it. Should be here tomorrow can't wait.

  • AutoBrilliant
A good collection for those wishing to experience phase one of the original IDW run of books. Good writing, good art and a wonderful buy.

  • Idw knows how to write transformers
Come on now. The entire series is amazing. And now you can read them in chronological order instead of the time line they were published.
