I’m really impressed with this in-home camera system! I have one camera set up to monitor my front porch and another to keep an eye on my puppy while I’m away. Both cameras provide crystal-clear views, and I can easily check in on both areas from my phone, which is super convenient. The app is intuitive and easy to navigate, making setup and use a breeze. For the price, this system is unbeatable. The video quality is sharp and reliable, day or night, and I’ve had no issues with connectivity. It’s been especially helpful for watching my puppy when I’m out, and I can quickly check in to see how he’s doing in real-time. While you do have to pay more if you want access to playback features, for now, I’m perfectly happy with just being able to live stream and keep an eye on things as needed. That said, if you’re looking for an affordable, reliable camera system that covers your basic security and monitoring needs, this is a great choice. These cameras are amazing! I'm using them to monitor a property hundreds of miles away and I am seriously amazed at how well they work with both the video and the audio. With regards to both the performance of the cameras and the functionality of the Tapo app they have exceeded my expectation and I could not ask for more. 10 Stars! Unfortunately, one of the four cameras I purchased is having intermittent power issues. I've worked with it and it's clearly an issue with the camera. I called TP-Link support and....let's just say the support for this product does not match the performance of the product. I'm still working through the process to replace the malfunctioning camera so we'll see how it goes. But my initial impression of TP-Link support has not been favorable. With that said, I would still recommend these TP-Link cameras. When they work, they work really well, and they are a great value for the price. ... show more

The headline sums it up. The camera is typical of inexpensive generic ones in this price range. What sets this apart is the extremely thorough and easy to use setup and use app! The first hint comes with the matter that the download size is much bigger than most. Indeed, it has many helpful hints and then in use, easy. Easy to play back. And, for instance, instead of motion detection being on/off, one can change the sensitivity. Worked great for me to eliminate cars driving by barely on screen setting off a notification. The only downside for me, YMMV, is that it is not USB powered. So for my situation, replacing a suck camera, the wall transformer system is clunky and in the way. I'll figure something better out. This may not matter to you. The company is not one off in the security business. They apparently have a large line and the app has the ability to put all your Tapo cameras in one app. ... show more

I can't say enough good things about these Tapo C100 cameras. I initially only bought one camera because we adopted a cat and wanted to watch her while we were away. I was so impressed by the price, easy set up, clear picture, and not needing to subscribe and pay for a cloud storage service that I kept adding more cameras and now I currently have a total of nine cameras throughout the house. We have a hardwired Lorex security camera system inside and outside our house but I never use them now that we have the Tapo cameras. The app is intuitive and you can download video and save it to your phone/computer. 1080p is more than enough resolution and when I posted a video to NextDoor of an unfortunate theft that occurred in front of our house, people asked what camera I was using because they were impressed with the clarity. The camera stores onto a microSD card and I'm able to playback even when I'm not on the same wifi network. Occasionally when I try to playback a video and someone else is in the app, I will get an error but it eventually resolves itself. The other nice thing is when I brought my cat to my sister's house while we were away, we brought one of the cameras, linked it to her wifi, and was able to share that camera with her so that she could see the feed but not our other cameras at home. My only complaint about these cameras is that I ordered white cameras to match my walls, the cord that comes with it is always black. I wish it would come with a white cord. ... show more
