I got these to replace some old paper shade bedside lamps I had for a reeeeaaaally long time. I like the modern and clean look that these offer. I liked tha simple design which essentially a rod and a flat circular base - no other design elements on it. The shade is a simple cylinder made of a nylon type of fabric. A very clean design. Lighting is turned off/on by touching anywhere on the circular basis. So far I have not had any problems turning it on and off - works every time. There are three light levels which you cycle through my consecutive taps on the base. Good and bad - it's easy to understand, but you have to tap several times to cycle to the off setting. The brightness different is a bigger step between low and medium. High doesn't seem to be as big of jump, but it is plenty bright on high. The included light bulbs aren't bad, but they are they typical half dome LED type of bulb. I prefer the full illuminated ones so changed them out and they fill out the room better since you now have light across and downward as well. I also like that several charging options are included on the lamp. You have a normal 110v outlet, a USB-C, and a USB-A. To me that is pretty unusual to have that variety, so definite plus there. I haven't tried to plug in device to charge in all three but I haven't had any issues charging an iphone and ipad at the same time with the USBs. I knew going in that these were a bit shorter than my existing lamps, but they still look good on the night stands. I didn't think too much about the height at first, but you may want to consider what else you will have on the table between you and lamp. If it is taller than 10" it might block the direct light from the lamp, like when you are reading etc. Of course you can move the lamp closer to you, but for some they might not like the look from and decor and placement standpoint. For me this lamps fit by style tastes and my lighting needs. The charging capabilities are all a bonus. The price is reasonable when you compare it against other brick and mortar big box stores so I think it was a pretty good deal. ... show more

I'll be honest, I was sceptical about these lights, but they are adorable and functional. They stand just under 15 inches (14 7/8" approx.) tall. The pictures will show the light output at low, medium and high in lux (in close proximity to each other). Sadly we don't have a type C charge cable to test that output, but the type A port delivered a fast charge to our Motorola Moto G stylus using a fast charge USB A to USB C cable, our phones show whether it's a slow charge, fast charge, or turbo charge. These also come with a 110v 2 prong outlet so I tested it using an 8 inch Honeywell turbo fan, and it worked perfectly with no diming of the lights. The bulbs which are included, kind of let me down a little, they are dimmable LEDs but they got pretty hot within a short bit of time (approx. 15 minutes). Leading me to think, these builds won't last long, but are a standard A19, A15, E26 base making them easily replaceable with new dimmable LED bulbs. The touch, is quite sensitive even through plastic, but what I like the most is that it starts on low with you first touch, and goes up with each touch, then off, so if you use them bedside, they won't blind you if you accidentally touch it rolling over in your sleep. I wish they had a memory so that after awhile, you tough it, it'll shut off, but they still cycle through all light outputs before they turn off (at least for me). The shades are like a collar around the light bulb socket, with a nut to lock it down, so finding replacements (if you so choose, or age) should be easy to find. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have bedside lamps from Ikea which will last forever. My wife and I wanted to get new ones for the last few years but haven't come across anything of our liking. I am looking for lamps with a small footprint. I found this one very promising and I almost replace the old one but I ended up not. This is very personal but the problem is: (-) When powered on by plugging in, it does not remember the last state. It always starts from the 'off' state. Who cares, right? Well, I have my lamp connected to a smart switch. I turn it on and off based on time etc. With this lamp, I won't be able to turn the light on unless I touch it. Which defeats the purpose of having a smart switch connected. As I said, it's a very personal use case. Otherwise, it works as described and looks nice!! If you don't care about turning it on and off automatically, then I'd strongly recommend it. Enjoy! ... show more

Here are a few things I liked: Solid construction. Pre-assembled shade (no velcro or packaging wrinkles). Charging support for bedside devices via USB A, USB C or a two prong AC outlet on the top. 3 way light with touch control. Here are a few things you should be aware of: The included bulb is pretty bright, even on the low setting The lamp base and stem are metal, so anything you touch on the lamp (except the shade) will turn it on or cycle the brightness level.
