The light would only turn on every now and then and sometimes it wouldn’t change dimmers at all. I reached out to the manufacturer and explained my situation. I bought two of these lamps to my bedroom. One for each side. They have a great ambience to them to which I like that's it's not so bright and bold while I read and my husband sleeps. Yet when I need that brightness its serves its purpose. I love that I can charge up to three things. Then my husband's side he also has his own items. It works out great for people that don't have easy access to outlets for today's electric world. The only down fall is that sometimes it they don't want to tap right. I'll tap it ten times and nothing happens. Then the hubby will tap it and boom it's working. Not sure what that's about. Anyway, I still very much enjoy them. ... show more

Very nice lamp. The shade is neutral and would match anywhere I put it. The settings are great. The dimmest produced a glow really easy on the eyes and the brightest setting was crisp and bright. I love the touch feature I'm very happy with this purchase as a nightstand lamp.

This lamps brightness levels are impressive. I use mine beside my bed and it gives me the ability to switch settings from low to bright: bright enough to read and low enough to watch TV, or use as a soothing night light . The touch switch is very useful especially late at night when I need it. I can find what I need without hurting eyes. It's pretty sensitive though so occasionally I switch it on by mistake. This lamp allows me the convenience of charging my phone without another cord on my nightstand. Apart from how it functions I appreciate how it looks. I was pleasantly surprised that the shade is a very light grey which helps cast that ambient light and matchs the silver color of the lamp itself. My one concern is finding a bulb when it comes time to replace it. It is a very unusual size and shape. I've had problems in the past matching bulbs especially ones that dim. I suggest that you keep all the paperwork that comes with the lamp because that bulb is going to be hard to find. ... show more

I needed a quickie desk lamp. Found this one and bought it. I bought it because of it's minimalist design, and I thought it was white. Warning: IT IS NOT. It's more of a heather gray. When you turn it on, though, it could pass for an off-white. Not sending it back because, like I said, it gets the job done. It is not bright bright, though, so you may wanna keep that in mind. It's giving very much soft white. I tried to take a pic from further away so you can see how much it does and does not illuminate the corner it's in. Hope that helps! ... show more

April 1, 2020: I like the gray lampshade because it appears light but, unlike a white lampshade, tones down the intensity of light that is often harsh on the eyes. The lamp may be controlled by firmly tapping the base or gently touching the lamp post. I still feel that the lamp may be a wee bit overpriced; however, it arrives WITH the lightbulb (see product description)! One wish - I wish the lamp post was taller - maybe 21-25 inches, which would still leave quite a bit of room on a small table or nightstand. I purchased mine through Amazon Warehouse and neither the box nor the contents were damaged. ... show more
