This is not my first ebike from this manufacturer. The fact that I bought the same exact bike 2 years later should tell you that it's an excellent product. Pretty much bulletproof. But, as it's the second one, I did insist on some upgrades right out of the box that I would FIRMLY recommend. Let's talk about it. BUY PLENTY OF FULLY METALLIC BRAKE PADS. AS IN 6 PAIRS. It's just as important if not more so, to be able to stop as it is to be able to ride. THORN RESISTANT INNER TUBES. Keep the stocks as emergency spares. Same goes for the tires. REPLACE THE STOCK TIRES WITH SCHWALBE TIRES. Just trust me, keep the stocks as spares, they're not terrible. BIG COMFORTABLE SADDLE. Don't skimp on the saddle, the stock one is ok but it's about comfort so you can ride longer and further. STEM RISER NECESSARY. The stock stem is very short. Very short. And last but not least at all, HIGH GRADE FIREARM LUBRICANT FOR THE BEARINGS AND MOVING PARTS. You'll get thousands more miles by adding a professional grade metal conditioner. That being said, you will end up with one of the most formidable, long lasting, quality made and reliable ebikes around. Here's what I have been through with my first T-276: ran it into a FedEx truck at medium speed; had a head-on collision with another bike at full speed; hit a sidewalk curb at full speed and broke my humerus in 3 places; and got hit standing still by another ebikes doing around 16 mph (that broke my headlight). And to this day, that original bike is running flawlessly with over 3000 miles on it, has gone through 2 sets of tires, and the only thing keeping it from being in perfect shape is a very slight and imperceptible warp to the front tire from hitting that curb. Otherwise, no worse for wear, literally. Oh, I did have to replace the charger but no biggie. I just wanted a new one. I remember searching Amazon trying to find an ebikes that would not be a lemon or a toy. How would I know where to start? It's exhausting. Take my advice and make the small upgrades, and rest assured that you made the best decision: these bikes are golden. ... show more

    • Hills are fun!
I live in a hilly area. I am 55 and somewhat out of shape but structurally sound, so consequently hills are not fun on my old bike that is just ok quality. As I hoped, this e-bike bike makes the hills easy and fun! Consequently you don't even need to change gears much. The uphill feels like the flat stretches with pedal assist. Yes, it's cheating, and makes me want to get on the bike more. I am sore as all get out today even with the power of the bike. The only cons so far is it's heavy and not agile for off road. Bike tires are more geared for pavement. Even so, this is why I bought it. We have lots of trails around and I knew I would never get to them all without help. So far, so good. I just have to go slow, especially going down hill on trails. The weight makes me suspect I may break the bike if I go too aggressively off road. The front end tends to slide out going down hill due to the extra weight and non aggressive tires. I bit it yesterday and thankfully only the reflector broke. The front shock pops a little which drives me nuts. I could see how this could be an excellent commuter. The only downside so far is that the highest gear is too low. I can't keep up with the power when it is maxed out and I am on the flat or down hill. I haven't had it long enough to determine the battery life, but I went 14 miles yesterday using tons of power since it was mostly hills and had 75+% left. Up hill is almost as fun as down hill! Update 1 month and 100 miles. I had a loud hub squeak and a rear brake squeal that tech support was unable to help. They offered a picture to help with adjusting the brakes, which was not the issue. I guessed the hub issue was because of the plastic chain guard and put tape behind it. Fixed! I slid sandpaper into the brake pads and sanded lightly the surface of the pad. So far so good. Battery lasted 26 miles on mostly high power but a lot of the ride was flat. Having a blast. Bought the green slime for the tubes after getting over 5 holes on one ride. The tires are super thin. The slime worked like a charm. I was not looking forward to replacing the tubes especially in the rear with the power cable and all. ... show more

    • Nothing but problems!

I bought 2 of these bikes for my kids and have had nothing but problems with them! One bike the screen stopped working 1 month into getting it. I was able to get a replacement for that which took over a month to get here. NOW. 6 months later the screen on the other bike doesn’t work, the batteries won’t charge on both bikes and after about 10-15 mins of riding the bikes just shut down automatically. Seller asked for videos I sent them and then they wanted another video of something else I have sent a bunch of videos and they keep telling me to do something differently! At this point my kids haven’t been able to ride their bikes in almost a month and I keep getting the run around. Finally I had to contact Amazon customer service because I was getting know where with the seller on my issue. ... show more
