As a shorter female rider, I was a bit hesitant about the size, but the upgraded adjustable stem makes it easy to customize the handlebar height and angle for a perfect fit. The overall build quality of the frame and components is very impressive, and I found the bike to be super easy to put together when it arrived - the instructions were straightforward, which I really appreciated. I preferred the white color because I felt it would make me more visible to others in the city where I live. However, be sure to check your local city ordinances and trail regulations, as you may need to wear a helmet and other protective gear, especially when riding at higher speeds like the 20 mph this bike can reach. Even if you don't think you need it, I highly recommend investing in a helmet and other safety equipment, especially for younger or less experienced riders. These additional expenses are worth it for the protection. The 350W motor provides ample power, allowing me to effortlessly tackle hills and reach speeds of up to 20 mph. The 36V 10.4Ah removable battery provides excellent range, easily lasting for my longer rides. The 21-speed gears give me versatile pedaling options to match any terrain. What really sets Totem apart, however, is their exceptional customer service. In one of the very few times I've had a company reach out to me directly through Amazon, Totem demonstrated their commitment to ensuring a positive customer experience. I did encounter an unfortunate situation where I needed to return the bike, but Totem's support team was fantastic. They promptly approved the return and worked with me to provide a full refund, even though they were temporarily out of stock in the white color I had originally purchased. The process was smooth and their patience was greatly appreciated, especially as I had to wait until I had finished moving to complete the return. Even though they tried to replaced my bike directly, I will be repurchasing my replacement through them with the same bike (hopefully) in a different color. I would highly recommend going directly to the Totem Bike Customer Service page and calling them if you happen to have any issues or questions. Amazon was originally making it difficult to get my questions answered, but I got in touch with Totem Support and they have been super amazing. One thing to note is that this e-bike is quite heavy, so keep that in mind if you need to lug it up any stairs. It comes in a easy carry box (even though its 75+lbs) which made it easier to get upstairs. I will be repurchasing my replacement through them with the same bike in a different color. Overall, I'm thrilled with my Totem Electric Bike. The performance, quality, and customer service have been exceptional. Easy to assemble I only gave 4 stars due to the following: Tires are of the thinnest rubber I've ever seen on a bicycle. If you go off road plan on having extra tube's on hand, as anything even remotely sharp will puncture the tire/tube. Bicycle fell over on the kickstand(soft dirt) resulting in the derailer bracket snapping in half(cheap pot metal) Rides good, brakes work well, battery seems to hold up pretty well. The bike just arrived this morning, so these are initial impressions. The quality and completeness of the bike seem very good for the price. It's heavy, but that's how it goes with e-bikes. The packaging is excellent. Lots of heavy zip-ties, though, so you'll need a razor knife, stout scissors, or wire cutters. Assembly was straightforward, with clear instructions and diagrams. I was slow and methodical and still got the job done in under 90 minutes. Just one small glitch in the instructions: it said the bolts for the derailleur guard would be in the box, but they were actually screwed into the bike frame already. Although I've done my own bike maintenance for decades, I'd say that even a first-timer could assemble this one successfully. And all necessary tools are included. The first test ride was a little surprising. The manual explains how to use the controls for the electric assist but not how the bike responds. I set the controller on Level 1 (the least amount of assist) and started pedaling. The bike immediately took off on me and I instinctively grabbed the brakes to stop it again. It turns out that I was also twisting the right handgrip, which operates like a motorcycle throttle. After that, it all went well. Choose assist Level 1 thru 5 if you want to pedal, or twist the grip to ride it like a motorcycle. Level 1 feels like a little boost while Level 5 feels like the bike is doing 95% of the work and you're just turning the pedals for show. One other small surprise: I assumed the bike would decelerate when I un-twisted the handgrip, like a gas-powered motorcycle does, but it just coasts instead. No engine braking, duh!
