Okay, I love these and have used them for years. The paper is excellent quality and the cover is tough. I keep one by my bed and one at my desk and jot down whatever. Some notes go into my computer, others get shredded. They are just wonderfully convenient and fit in a purse if needed. I only want the red because I can see them more easily amongst the other papers in my life. And I love red. The cost of these has fluctuated over the years and I've always bought them from Amazon. But today, when I felt I needed to resupply, I bought from Staples and will pick them up rather than pay for delivery (what the heck, I'm often out near them). First one I bought was 10 years ago at an Office Store for about $3. I stocked up recently when price was $4 and small change. Expensive but its the right size and lay flat binding works for a specific purpose. Sheets are heavy enough that show through is minimal except for fountain pen use. Perforated tear out sheets are exactly 1/2 letter sized which makes it fit many "Classic" sized planner binders. Current lowest prices with shipping are $8 so if I ever need more I will have to change my workflow. I will NOT purchase any more at $8 plus change apiece. Those $3 pads with $6 shipping per pad are not a deal. At $8 I can find similar quality paper in a perfect or staple bound tear out pad at a fraction of the cost. For a $6 savings I'll put up with the inconvenience of losing the spiral binding. Or I'll just comb bind my own. ... show more

I use TOPS notebooks to record my daily devotions. They are just the right size and thickness, and I like the quality of the paper. I had ordered this one with a lavender cover for a change, and was surprised that the paper was the same color! I really prefer to write on the white lined paper, and all the other TOPS notebooks contain white paper. So I probably won't order the lavender one again! ... show more

These aren't cheap, but although the paper has a texture similar to newsprint, it is highly resistant to bleed through and works especially well with ballpoints and fine felt-tip pens. I've even had good luck with extra-fine fountain pens and the right ink. The paper used to be orchid; now it's a grey that's almost too dark. But the notebook is a great size, very sturdy, with a stiff back and durable plastic cover. I always have one in my tote bag for notes, to do lists and shopping lists. Many of my old favorite notebooks and notepads have been changed to use cheaper, less durable, less functional materials. Despite the changes, this notebook remains high quality. ... show more
