Description

The TOPS Sling was released in 2017 and has been quite popular ever since. The Mini Sling came about due to numerous requests for something smaller that people could carry a little easier for plinking when they don't need the full- sized one. While the Mini Sling comes with a very nice leather sheath made for vertical or horizontal carry, it can just as easily be thrown in a pants pocket or a side pocket on a pack. Black Powder coated structural steel with Tan Canvas micarta handles give it the classic TOPS “bushcraft” look. Weighing in at a whopping 3.2 oz, you'd forget you were carrying it, if only it wasn't so fun to shoot. There is a reason that these were such a huge hit at the 2020 SHOT Show. Its very good quality as far as the frame goes. But the band are very weak and mine broke before I could fire a dozen rounds thru it. I replaced the tubular bands with daisy tubular bands which have a larger pouch for projectiles. Also it now has more power. Only draw back is it will not fit in the pouch with the new bands. But its so small I just wrap the bands around it and stick it in my front pocket. I dont even notice its there. Also the fork is to small for shooting thru the fork in my opinion. I shoot over the fork and have reduce the amount of fork hits which has reduced the amount of injuries to my hand due to the micro size of the frame. I like it and ita hard not like anything Tops makes because they do such a good job. The bands although small and compact are to weak in construction and power. ... show more

Plinking only not a big boy Using nerf hyper rounds I've had a lot of fun with this. Two small beads keep the band on . If like others who have purchased your band falls apart feed it back through carefully not to cut the rubber and feed a small bead or in my case a matchstick head in and push through with the broken stick end 😂yes crappy fix but I wanted to keep playing. Accurate for 15 feet or so have fun!! Big hands will find this difficult to use 4 stars for no extra parts included or any type of quick fix instructions/extra bands extra Looking for a good regular sling shot go with a simple shot they have great ones for 20-40 that are fantastic for beginners Update Ordered a mini jig and small tube to replace works better I think Tube was 1632 which made it super easy to feed through the holes of the slingshot but hard to insert a bb I used the end of the jig to push it through Worth it to me knowing the frame will last and it only need replaced tubing ... show more

When I opened the package I was stunned by how tiny the slingshot was. I mean, I knew it would be small, but .. wow. Maybe a hair more than half the width of my relatively small hands. Tiny. Wasn't sure what to think. The first shot was within an inch at about 45 feet. Very very impressed. The 2nd time I pulled back the band broke. I went from extremely impressed to totally unimpressed in about .. 3 seconds. This thing is way too expensive for that lack of durability. ... show more

It works, is fun to use and all that. Well made, comes with a great pouch to store it in or keep it on your belt. For a slingshot only for plinking, the price is high. But it’s made by Tops, and the workmanship is there.. I do wish the band was a little stronger.
