I didn't know if I like this thing as I always believed that. 22 rounds are best carried and stored in their own box. Nope! This thing is better. The lid let's you pour out shells In 5 round increments. Strong belt clip too. Really happy with this item.

This holds 50 rounds, when I got it, I thought it'd hold double that, it is a big chunk of plastic! 10 holes hold 5 .22LR each with a 0.3" to spare so expect it to rattle. The cover clicks in place to uncover one hole at a time, which is a nice touch. The belt clip has enough room to fit a carry belt, bu I'd worry about repeatedly flexing the clip by putting it on and taking it off. Using as a pocket clip might be safer. Overall, it is slightly more convenient that putting a box of. 22 in your pocket at the cost of a lot more weight. It is a nifty gadget, but overall, I'd simply recommend saving those plastic ammo boxes ... show more

This is a very simple gadget, yet it does an excellent job of carrying .22 in the field. It’s much easier to access the cartridges than trying to pull them from the manufacturer’s box, and it’s far more protective than carrying loose cartridges in a pocket or pouch. Well worth the money.
