  • Excellent Red Dot, solid hold
Great optic, you get a solid red dot at a solid price point. I'm running some Aimpoint now, but this optic does it too, happy I started here, and my back up inherited this one. Holding zero great, height co-witnesses with my Magpul flip ups

  • BEST SIGHT dollar for dollar
Simply put, for the money, this sight is excellent! Holds its zero, simple to use, comes on automatically with movement, great on battery life, DURABLE, easy to install, easy on the eye, low profile - all for a fraction of the competition's price! I use this for sporting and defense applications. I could have spent more money, but after watching some serious torture tests on YouTube (being frozen in ice, shot with 12 ga, dropped on concrete, etc.) I decided to give it a try. Glad I did; professional quality with civilian price. Now, this sight is SIMPLE. Easy to mount, adjust and zero. It's also simple in function: a red dot. Period. If you want more apertures or sight pictures, don't buy it. If you just want meat and potatoes, then this is the ticket. I don't care about being "tacticool" - all I care about is what works well and getting the best deal possible. Cannot recommend more highly. ... show more

  • Best beginner red dot on market
I purchased it when I got my first AR. was getting into target shooting for fun. Went to range with a friend of mine that has numerous AR platform rifles with Red dot optics. While shooting his rifles I really like his optics until I found out the price. Did some research and gave the Romeo 5 a shot. Reason I bought it. Price and reviews. Red dot has numerous levels of brightness, Optics very clear. Virtually indestructible and Price point was amazing. Installed in less than 3 minutes. Took to range first time was on target at straight out of the box. It has traveled down some horrible Louisiana roads in its case in my trunk and been dropped once landing on Optic. Still dead on. Lastly it can be paired with the Juliet 4 4X flip up magnifier for greater accuracy down range. I will stay with this optic for a long time as no need to upgrade to others that claim to be the best for 5X the price due to I feel it is just as good. ... show more

  • Excellent sight, especially for the price. Great quality.
This red dot sight is very good quality. The glass and coating provides a nice clear sight picture, the 2MOA dot it very crisp, the aluminum body feels of good quality and the sight mount fits the sight perfectly, both fit and finish. Not a bad mounting method and the overall weight is not too heavy. This model number is for only the high mount sight which is a co-witness height. For an AR the low mount is not necessary and a waste of money. If you need a lower mount for a different weapon get the package with both height mounts for a few extra bucks. The buttons for brightness are nice and tactile, and provide an easy on/off and the auto ON/OFF not only saves battery and stretches the life of a CR2032 to it's max, but this system works very well. It shuts the LED off after 2 minutes and the very slightest movement re-activates the LED. This sight is SOLID. Highly recommended. If there is one negative for me it would be that there is some parallax even though it is advertised as parallax free, but this is true even of the high end sights like aimpoint, trijicon and EOtech and the like. So I give this 5 stars. ... show more

  • Solid Grade C Optic
First off the build of this optic is Good. It will hold zero while it stays mounted. The dot is very clear and the battery life and movement =on is awesome. More optics should have it. I don't know much about the durability of the optic, mine was never tested for that, though I've seen good reviews. The one issue with any optics like these is gonna be QD. You simply can't trust this optic to be removed and placed back on a rifle and it hold zero. While it's mounted, it will hold great. But if at any point you take it off and put it back on, the zero will be off. In most cases this won't be an issue for most people. For what it is, it's phenomenal. For any plinking guns, I highly recommend. But for any defense weapon, active shooter response, or a tyanny deterrent, I will always recommend a aimpoint or Eotech. Simply because no matter what, they work. Overall, I think sig hit a Homer. ... show more

  • Better than Holosun 510C
TL:DR romeo5 is great for the money. Easily better than popular brands for the money. I bought the Holosun 510C for my ak before I realized that there were cheaper sights out there that are also better. This romeo 5 definitely doesn't have all the features of the 510C it does offer the availability. I'll do a small comparison of the 2 sights to each other. HS510C Pros: solar panel shake awake multiple reticles adjustable brightness quick attach mount Looks cool as hell Cons: Not super easy battery access hard to zero good the quick attach mount is a little janky (hard to get tight enough) Romeo5 Pros: adjustable brightness easy battery access easily zeroed relatively easy to mount no need of special tools looks super cool as hell Cons: Weird battery (can't go down to dollar general and pick one up) no multiple reticles Some good differences between the two sights, but all in all the Romeo5 is definitely best bang for your buck and will compete with the higher end sights easily. ... show more

  • Strongly Recommend!
Works perfectly as advertised! Easy to operate. The only way to make these better might be to add a shake on and a timed off feature, but for the price this thing is perfect!
