If you use these for plumbing applications, they work as designed. However, if you use them as just basic pliers, I had issues with it slipping out of the groove when trying to tighten or loosen a nut. I kept them just because they are OK for the price. Needed two bigger slip joint pliers . Got these cheaply . Looks good and ratings were decent . Used large pliers twice and the grip slipped off . Annoying when making a repair . Will have to invest in some more quality pliers .
