Like that it was easy to install and looks good on outside of my garage but the motion light does not flash on until you step up real close to it. That range is around 8 feet. The product says the sensor should come on at 30 feet.

Tab at bottom to allow for replacing batteries missing. Once locked into place it cannot be opened again. Solid plastic where the tab should be. When batteries die it will be useless. Only discovered defect too late after full installation. Don't buy it.

I was initially a bit skeptical about this item since it's powered by 4 batteries and on the very affordable side for these kinds of products. Since installing it, however, there are very few drawbacks and I've been impressed by how it performs. First, installation only took a few minutes to complete, following the included instructions. In fact, setting aside how long it took me to dig through my drawers looking for batteries and my drill, it only took around 5 minutes from start to finish. Once it is installed, it's also very straightforward and easy to take back down to replace batteries (I haven't needed to replace the batteries just yet but I did try taking it down to see if it was going to be difficult). It's been a month and I haven't had to replace batteries yet, despite that it sees hours of use every night. In terms of functionality, there's not a lot to mess with once it's installed either. The sensor can't be adjusted, which I'd have liked to see since I'm using this mostly to light up an outdoor space we spend time in. It does shut off after just 20 seconds without near constant motion and takes a second or two before it recognizes motion again to turn back on once it does shut off. The brightness is just about perfect to light up our space (and a bit beyond that), too. It's set over a back porch measuring roughly 20 ft by 50 ft. Overall, it's been a great product so far and I'd definitely acquire another one if I had another space that needed to be lit for either security or hanging out. ... show more
