first off wow! one of the best customer service i have ever had! second this machine is great! I am cutting up a old shipping frame to get project metal out, it is cutting like butter! it is super easy to set up right out of the box. depending on the air hose they send just use a heat gun on low and wala it will flex right into place and not leak. DO use tape on the threads on the reg, I put one of my qd on it and no issue, no leaks. I have run this on 220 and 110. works fine on either, BUT, HUGE warning and must do, if you change from 110 to 220 or other way around, you must!!!!!! wait and let the machine sit un plugged, it says 2 min, give it 5 min to be on the safe side. it senses the line voltage and the caps must be disscharges and then plug in with machine off!!! then turn it on and it take about 15 sec it will wake up, it senses the voltage then comes on. the fan is a high volume and quiet. the machine has not ever shut off on me while cutting thus C chanel apart. I have had many brands and kinds of cutters, welders etc, this is so far amazing! light and just flat out works, I use a wire brush to clean the tip now and then, and it is lasting a decent time so far, I marked the front gauge for the lower and upper air psi so its easy to see and make sure is right. i set it just above the .3 and it is ideal and running this on 35 on the read out, supposed to be 35A but it is working better then oxy asetaline! I don tneed to use the rest it comes with but I can see it being handy for some work. DO NOT just drop or throw down the torch as it has a ceramic cover, it will break, and I really like it better then some of the others with a black bakalite cover, they burn up any way then the brass end is open and it will stick to the work , haha, not fun. but this one is great. I LIKE IT!!! over all this gets A plus, and the seller also gets A ++ . I want to also add, I am using a small 150 PSI HF compressor I think it is 2.8 cfm but it keeps up just fine and will cycle and not just keep running so it is not over using the air supply! thi makes it very portable, also on the 120v plug i ran it on the 3500W inverter genny! it didnt grunt at all! ran it just fine. set at 20A and was cutting 1/8 angle , very pleased with this indeed! ... show more

I bought this unit on Prime day, from an Amazon "Warehouse Deal". It looked unused. It took me a couple of weeks to have enough time to set it up. If you look at the pictures you will see I did a VERY, VERY quick and dirty test. The piece of aluminum was clamped to a floppy piece of polycarbonate roofing over a wood pile. Not ideal but it worked. REMEMBER this was a quick and dirty test. I just needed to make sure the unit turned on and worked. Do not do something like this for real work. The assembly was 18"x4" by 1/4 inch piece of aluminum, with an 1/8 inch piece of steel clamped to it. Note Plasma cuts in general do not heat up the work very hot. The ground clamp was attached to the far end of the aluminum plate. The whole metal assembly would move when touched by the torch. Remember this was quick and dirty. I used .4 MPa air pressure, at 20 amps and was running off of 120vac. You can see the cuts and holes in the second picture. I have used a professional grade plasma cutter before, in a welding hobby class, at the local community college. I do welding for fun. All I can say is WOW. The RF start works like a charm. The plasma torch went through 1/8" steel like butter and the hole in the steel was easy to make. I was curious how it would work on the 1/4" aluminum and it punched through. If I had more air and current it probably would have done better but I just want to make sure the unit worked. I am amazed at how well this unit works for the price. It seems well thought out. The question is will it last. Some side notes: I used Loctite 545 Pneumatic and Hydraulic Fittings Thread Sealant on the fittings to the pressure gauge/filter. The gauge had no leaks. The gauge is also not screwed in from the factory, it needs sealant. As has been noted the hoses look they won't last very long but they do work. The current meter starts (off position) at 17 amps on mine. There is a timer or temperature setting that has the torch running for a few seconds after current is turned off to cool the torch and the work. This is a nice feature.     • Stopped working 7 months in with light use
I used it for a few small things to learn how it works. Then for the one project I bought it for, it couldn't finish the job. It made a pouf of pop sound then stopped working. All the lights are on and the air is blowing but no cutting. I tried changing consumables but didn't work still. I tried to contact tooliom directly but no response. I will keep trying and will update if I get a response and or resolution. Update 12/23 they replaced the unit and I have used it now for 3 projects. Working well. I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but am happy to say the company did right by me and will change my stars to 4. ... show more

I knew I was taking a risk purchasing a cheap plasma cutter like this one. Lots of favorable reviews, so I ordered. Took about an hour to setup, only to have it not work. I did some trouble shooting, including following all of the steps provided by the manufacturer. I am not new to plasma cutters, just new to these Chinese ones. I could get it to arc, intermittently though. I kept thinking it was a loose wire or bad connection because I could manipulate the cords and get it to work. I could never consistently get it to work or fail though. In the end I messaged Amazon support. I understand the process of having to return this one to have another sent out, but I feel they could refund me or get one on the way before they receive this one back. But no they won’t do that. Also they would like me to drive it to a UPS return center. I’ll save the fuel and time and let them pick it up. How am I supposed to recover the two hours of setup, testing, taking it back apart, and repackaging it? Amazon offered a $5 coupon. Maybe the manufacturer will make this right, but in the mean time it’s on the front steps waiting for UPS to pick it back up. I’m thinking about trying a different brand, or maybe just another one of these. Frustrated. ... show more
