I've done fabrication work for 20yrs. I've always had Miller or brand name equipment. I decided to save some money and try an Amazon plasma cutter per say. I will say it's a nice unit, quality is good but not as great as Miller. You get what you pay for. All that means for example is, the plasma torch lead is cheap. Just 1/4" poly air line in a big heat shrink like protective cover. Not solid hard protective rubber like higher cost models. Which is expected at the price. Cut wise it does great! Cuts 1/2" and thicker plate no problem. Was quite impressed. Cuts clean. Extra consumables and parts are easy to get. Would definitely recommend! ... show more

I'm amazed how well this works!! And the price was so low!! After reading reviews about the standoff or air pressure issues affecting the cutter, I tried it out thinking the low price meant maybe it was substandard- but I'll give it a try. It is awsome! Full arc and use at 85 psi @65A. No issues at all. Precise and very light. Looks great and the display is modern and bright. After oxyacetylene this plasma cutter is like a band saw through butter. And 65 amps? More than you could need in a small shop environment. Torch cord is long and has a knuckle at the torch so you don't get bound up with a twisted cord. It is soooo light. Easy to move and not too heavy. The feet keep it from sliding around even at full cord extension. Time will be the only thing on my mind-how long will it last? I'll have lot of fun ( and more time now) to find out. Yeswelder has a hit with this machine!!! ... show more

    • Good machine but no settings refernce.
Do NOT look at the manual where it says the machine can handle 60-90psi thinking you should be using air pressure in that range. Upwards of 75-80psi, the air will blow out your pilot arc causing great frustration. Just google "plasma cutting chart" and keep you air in the 30-60psi range and all will be well. Lastly, make sure you buy a set of consumables. I bought this to cut 3/4 steel plate. As expected, travel speed was down to a crawl and the quality was not great, but the machine did it. You need a lot more amps for 3/4" nice cuts, so control your expectations. This is a great machine for up to about 1/2" ... The thinner the material, the better the cut quality. ... show more

    • First machine was DOA, they replaced and it’s good.
EDIT: raising from 1 star to 4. Yes welder made it right and sent me a new machine. Cuts great. Right out of the box the unit has no lights, function, or anything. I verified input power but machine does not power on. “Yes Welder” customer service asked me to disassemble the brand new machine and try to troubleshoot the power issue myself. This is a 220v 50amp circuit that unqualified people can NOT safely repair themselves so I find this request to be unreasonable. ... show more

    • CUT-65DS Promising Features Marred by Inconsistent Performance
At first glance, this plasma cutter seemed to have all the features I was looking for. The digital displays were impressively bright and crystal clear, providing easy visibility of settings. Adjustments were intuitive and user-friendly, allowing for quick and convenient setup. The torch handle felt sturdy and of high quality, providing a comfortable and secure grip. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I began using the machine. Despite meticulously following the instructions, connecting everything correctly, and ensuring the power switch was turned on, the plasma cutter's performance was far from reliable. When I pulled the trigger, I anticipated a powerful plasma flame, but to my frustration, only a rush of air emerged from the nozzle. This lackluster result occurred repeatedly, with the plasma flame appearing a mere three out of ten times. The inconsistency in performance was deeply unsatisfying and raised doubts about the machine's overall reliability. It is disheartening to encounter such issues, especially when the machine showcased promising features. The bright displays and user-friendly adjustments, coupled with the high-quality torch handle, were overshadowed by the machine's inability to function consistently. Regrettably, I had to reach out to customer service in hopes of resolving the issue. They said it was a fluke and suggested getting a replacement. However, their proposed solution did not rectify the problem. Additionally, I noticed a substantial air leak inside the case of the second plasma cutter, further underscoring the quality control issues. Ultimately, I had no choice but to return both plasma cutters. Unfortunately, this experience not only wasted precious time but also caused significant delays in my project. It is evident that these repeated issues are not mere flukes but rather indicative of a larger quality control problem. In conclusion, while the bright displays, intuitive adjustments, and high-quality torch handle initially seemed promising, they were marred by the plasma cutter's inconsistent performance. I would caution potential buyers against considering this particular model, as the unreliability and quality control issues detract from its otherwise appealing features.
