Setup was easy, all you need is a ruler/measuring tape & a drill (or screwdriver, but then setup won't be as easy). Placing the curtain rod anchors, I measured an extra 3 inches to the side of the frame and 3 inches above the frame, and the results looked nice! The little end bits on each rod are also nicely compact, so they seem a lot less loud/in your face than many curtain rods, and curtains can easily be slipped over them, so the bits do not need to be taken off in order to put curtains on the rods. I was able to get away with using just two anchors (the rods need not be fully extended for my windows), but having the extra was nice, because I was able to add a support in the center that also helps to keep the curtains even when closed. The double-rod design was just what I was looking for, allowing me to add a set of black-out curtains to the front rod, and a set of nice sheer curtains to the back rod, adding a nice depth on my windows and allowing me to choose between direct sunlight, diffused sunlight with some privacy, and near black-out conditions (the rods themselves are quite compact, so black-out panels are still very effective, yet they are far enough apart that each set of curtains does not get caught on the other when trying to open or close them). Nice rod. Only problem is, that my rings on the curtain get stuck sometimes on the connecting pieces of the rod, when opening and closing the curtains.

I replaced my old curtain rod with this because I wanted to hang sheers in my bedroom. These rods are MUCH sturdier than the old rod was. I can't comment on where the old one was from or how much it cost because it was there when I bought my house, but these are thick and fairly heavy and seem extremely unlikely to bend with normal use. I spray painted these gold and they are great over the enormous wall of windows in the bedroom - sheer curtains to let light in but blackout for night time. Great and way cheaper than other ones!

These are solid for the price. I have them almost maxed out at around 140 inches and used 3 brackets. Once the set screws where tight they feel solid and I'm not seeing any issues. I'm only using a couple blackouts panels with shears in the front but I would not worry about adding heavy drapes personally. I was able to hit the top plate with one screw in each and did not use the mounting hardware included. There are 4 brackets in the package of you wanted to add another. Brackets are sturdy. Simple classic look. They are painted a dark brown so we'll see how the finish holds up but it feels good with no flaking or pits. They go with the brass hardware in my place just fine. The media could not be loaded. I like the simple, modern look of these curtains, but when extended, the rod itself doesn’t feel very sturdy in the center. The biggest “no” factor me is the fact that there is no piece/mechanism to lock the two pieces of each rod at the desired length. So when you pick up the rod, the other half just slides out. Putting the rods up is doable, I guess (not a great thing to say when you just bought them), but I’ll likely have to find some way to tape the two rods together. Before I decided I wanted to get a double curtain rod, I bought a single rod (am going to return after this) and it is nearly identical but 10x sturdier and twists to tighten at the length you want it. That rod is also in the same price range, so it wasn’t anything crazy expensive to explain the quality difference. For me, I think it’s a bummer because it’s a good looking rod that could have been 10x better with just a little more effort. Also in the video on here, you can see a third rod in between the two to help lock it in place. There is not one in this. I’d say this is an okay buy that will probably (?) do the job, but requires you to work with it. If you want a solid, sturdy, purchase that is perfectly functional and aesthetic, you can probably find better elsewhere. :/ ... show more
