I recently got the Tomtoc Travel Backpack, and it’s absolutely fantastic! This backpack has quickly become my go-to for all my travels. First off, the TSA-friendly design makes airport security a breeze. I love how it opens flat, allowing me to easily access my laptop and essentials without fumbling around. It really speeds up the whole process! The 40L capacity is just right for a weekend trip or even a longer getaway. I was able to pack everything I needed without feeling overstuffed. The organization is spot-on, with plenty of pockets for my tech gadgets, clothes, and travel essentials. I bought this to use as my carry on for a recent trip to Europe. I needed something that would fit my travel CPAP (would never check that), tablet, book, etc. Everything fit well into this bag, and the cinch straps compressed everything nicely. Even full, the backpack was remarkably comfortable to carry. The shoulder straps are very nicely padded and comfortable. the chest buckle stabilized everything. The zippers are excellent quality, and secure. I really like the top compartment for a cell phone or passport, as it is very well shielded from pick pockets. Also, it has a band in the back so that you can hook it onto your suitcase handle. It has handles at the top and side, so you can carry it one-handed in either orientation. There is a back compartment that has 2 padded sleeves - one for a tablet and one for a laptop. There is a zipper in that compartment that lets you access the main compartment, which is quite roomy, and could easily hold enough clothes for a day or 2. The main compartment can also be opened up directly from the front flap like a small suitcase. Overall, I was shocked at the high quality of this bag, given its modest price. So, for the price this is a pretty good deal. Doesn't meet the quality of some of the higher end options, but seems well made, roomy, good spacing and protection for the laptop holders, etc. However, I'd EASILY pay $25 more for just a couple changes that could make this a GREAT bag. More Interior Pockets My biggest complains is the dearth of interior pockets. Inside the laptop area are a couple of roomy sleeve spots, but aside from that there is ONE zip pocket. Not even a couple smaller slide pockets... zero, zip, zilch. And there's an OBVIOUS spot across from the laptops for another large or couple of small pockets. The clothing/bag section has NOTHING... no divider/pocket for some dirty underwear, no small pocket for loose accessories, etc. It makes no sense... additional pockets would cost almost nothing. Better Interior Padding My second biggest complaint is padding. The back part where the laptops sit is fine, but that's pretty much the only real padded spot. Assuming you have clothes they'll provide some padding, but I'd like to see a thicker wall between the two inside sections to provide better structure and padding for the electronics. At scale you could add these things to the bag for $10 or less, and I'd pay $25-$50 more for a bag that has them ... show more
