Locking the wheels is done as a safety measure to keep the vehicle stationary. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, the black color of the wagon provides better protection against marks and dirt compared to our red wagon, which shows stains and scratches easily. This wagon has countless applications and we would recommend. This folding wagon is really nice, and seems to be very well made. It can be used to do yard work, take the kids for a walk, or go to the beach and carry all of your heavier items. It is made from metal, and heavier duty nylon fabric, and is easy to unfold and just as easy to fold up after use. It comes with a surround, that doubles as the inside floor for the wagon. The wheels lock, to stay in place for safety. This is a very nice wagon, that I recommend buying. There are so many uses for this wagon!!! ... show more
