I did not do a review right away because let's face it. Longevity is really 90% of the value with these things. Most that I buy, like at Home Depot, they last OK but batteries die quickly, they break easy, etc. These so far really go strong. Nice "Lua" style flickering orange light, lasts from dusk until around 5 in the morning, no waning through the summer. We live in Maine so I store them during the winter. There's an off switch. I do NOT bother removing the batteries but store them in an unheated shed. They are "cheap" in that the spikes that go in the ground will break easily. I took an idea from my friend in Florida and bought 6' lengths of that metal outdoor electric conduit, spray painted gloss black and replaced the ridiculously chinsy rods. This way I can have a 5-6' tall torch if I want (otherwise just hack saw to length). I use a piece of rebar to make a hold for it. The "spike" they supply will break off in another stronger than beach sand. ... show more

I bought my first set of these lights at the beginning of covid. Liked them so much I ordered 4 more. They are still working almost 4 years later. I’ve had so many compliments on them that I’ve ordered for gifts. Definitely not cheaply made…top quality

I've had these lights for over 2 years now. They are still working really well. The metal finish on the top and sides of the lamps have rusted and required repainting. I'm giving them 4 stars because the plastic pole/base is easy to break and can crack easily. Overall, they are worth it.
