Love this shelf unit!! It was so easy to put together. I think my husband did it in about 20 minutes and then he just carried it in to my daughter's room with one hand. Nice and lightweight! I'm not worried about the baby pulling it over and hurting herself as out is so light. We bought this to replace my 12 year old daughters dresser that fell apart and she loves it! She quickly organized all of her clothes into the Amazon basics fabric bins and loves how easy it is! We built the unit 4 cubes high (2x2) and it fit perfectly under her loft bed. We plan to combine the leftover cube with another set of 9 cubes we ordered to make a set of 6 and a set of 4 in her closet for toys/craft supplies/ etc. I'm so excited as these are affordable and versatile! I'm planning to buy at least one more for my son's room. The only thing I am a bit concerned with is whether or not it will hold up over time as it is made of plastic. Time will tell, however, I was happy to discover that the plastic shelves are built on a metal frame. They seem well Put together ave I'm hopeful it will stay sturdy. Easy to assemble. These are 12" square cubes. My space was 36". However, the connectors added to the overall length so 3 across did not work. I used them elsewhere. They are still a good buy.

I am using this as a display for figures and it is excellent so far. Pretty easy to put together and sturdy enough that if you bump into it it's not going to just fall apart. I wasn't sold on the plastic "sheeting" style of this and I'm not real sure about it still, I'm going to have to wait and see how it holds up over time before I can give a definitive decision. As of now it looks good, holds up well and hasn't shown any type of tareing in the plastic sheeting style shelves. Of course, as I said I'm only used this for figures, figures no bigger than 8 inches tall and weighing no more than a pound or two at best. I'm not sure what might happen if someone were to try and pack these full or put something heavy in or on this. Good luck. ... show more

It took me a bit to get the hang of assembling them, but they actually go together easily. I am very pleased with the overall look in my craft/storage room after getting my bins in place. While looking for a new reasonably priced bookshelf I got a 16 Cube version of this. I liked it so much, I purchased this 9 Cube set to extend it further; the modular design being another perk. For assembly, it wasn't without some issues but compared to other furniture, like my wooden bookshelf, it was so much easier. There were a couple of panels that were missing a bit of stitching and a few of the corner parts snapped, but I think there were spares to cover them. The most annoying part is that sometimes you just can't get the panel to fully snap into place, usually in the awkward spots once you start adding multiple. But despite these minor things, I assembled a 3 wide and 5 tall shelf and a 3 wide 2 tall shelf. For the shelves themselves, they work fine for books. I've avoided filling a cube with too many heavier hardcovers since the plastic on the panels while reasonably strong, does dip a bit under weight so I am wary about overloading it. I also got some cube drawers to put in the smaller shelf and they slide in and out pretty easily. The only issue that I'll note is that books don't rest in the cubes as well as a traditional shelf. The way the shelf lines up means the metal rods on the corner of the panels is on the side of each cube. Because of that, the corners aren't perfectly flat. Between that and how the panels can dip a bit in the center, the books won't always line up perfectly, especially at the corners. That said, it an issue to the point it doesn't work; I'd still recommend it for cheap book storage. But if you have a series, especially of hardcovers, be aware it won't line up all nice and level against the corner, even with a bookend. ... show more

The learning curve for building with these is not steep. It can take some sit-down time to put together, but it's simple and easy to adjust to however you prefer. My wife and I use these and foldable cube storage bins to organize and store all of the clothes from our wardrobes. We've been able to save space, money, and the hassle of moving large furniture around with these organizers. At first, my wife was the only one who tried these out, but over time I found myself feeling jealous! It's been so much easier to get dressed in the mornings and especially with laundry. Had to get more and got rid of our clunky wooden furniture. So happy I decided to give these a try. When my wardrobe grows, I'll be back for more! ... show more

If I were only expecting 8 shelves. I would rate this a 5 but I only received 8 and paid for 9. The 8 are sturdy. And was easy to put together. Just wasn’t what I was expecting.

This storage unit surprised me. The panels are super easy to put together and take apart, so you can change the layout as many times as you want. I have mine currently stacked 3 across and 4 high, making 12 cubes with just one set because I didn't need to put panels on the backside of each cube. I do agree with many of the reviews saying that its a little flimsy and if you have heavy items, the shelves will bow, but with the amount of cubes available, I just distribute the weight. I also don't recommend trying to move the shelves when you have things in them, the whole thing falls apart easily. BUT overall, that doesn't bother me because why would I need to move these shelves on a frequent basis? I will definitely order these again when I have the room for more cubes. ... show more
