  • Not Just for kids.
Color: TINA2S (SD Card/App/Wi-Fi)
I have a probably 20 3d printers, I have some in my shop, a couple in my house, 2-3 at work in my office. I bought the first version of this printer and gave it to a friend and have regretted it since. I wanted a small 3d printer for the 90 percent of parts I make that are small enough to fit this printer. If you are looking for your first printer, buy this one, no assembly, printing parts 10 minutes after it arrives, take very little space. I will probably buy several more. This upgraded version of the first one I had has a lighted enclosure, Quiet stepper motors, a heated bed. I do think the placement of the spool holder is stupid, why not make it hold a 1kg spool? Still a win overall and I will plan to buy several more for batch parts when I want to make several small parts quickly. ... show more

  • Affordable entry level ready out of box
Color: TINA2S (SD Card/App/Wi-Fi)
Bought this for my self and my kiddos. They have been printing non-stop since we got it. My 5th grader is in charge of printing. He can handle all the software and use the micro sd card to print anything from thingieverse. Has kept them very busy in a good way. Pleased with prints overall, afew errors but just has a slight learning curve about how to put the prints on the base in the slicer software. ... show more

  • Needs better instructions & customer support
Color: TINA2S (SD Card/App/Wi-Fi)
Update: Not one to give up, I decided to delete/reset the wi-fi settings on the printer itself and start over, and then I was able to set up a new account to use the app. Their PoloPrint Cloud app is so much easier to set up the wi-fi than the previous two app process. There isn’t much on the app for printer files. I wish there were more things to choose from and I wish there was an option for kids to create their own objects from scratch to print through the app. Original review: If it had better instructions I would give it 5 stars. It prints well from the TF card and we have had a lot of successes with it. However, the instructions to connect it to the internet were unclear, as were the instructions to download and install the updated firmware. I found a Weedo 3D printer page on Facebook and they helped me get the Wi-fi and firmware updated so I could use the app. Prints from the app were okay, but we needed to manually tweak the settings to get a good print (most are set too fast, and we end up with some spaghetti mess part way through if we don’t slow it down; we also often need to increase the nozzle temp because the settings in the app for each piece are often too low). I was thrilled once we figured that out. Fast-forward to me needing to change my Apple ID on my phone. Now the app can’t find my printer but says that it is already tied to the account in the cloud. Support is through WhatsApp, so I did that and they told me to delete my account and start over. I did, but it won’t let me set up a new account now and they are not getting back to me. I’m so frustrated with the wi-fi and app feature, that I wish I hadn’t spent the extra money on the 2S and had gotten the 2 instead. As a starter printer, if you are not one to give up easily, it is pretty good. If the instructions were more clear for beginners and the customer service was more responsive, and there were fewer issues with setting up the app and Wi-Fi, it would be a 5 star experience. ... show more

  • Really great little printer. 0.17 mm
Color: TINA2BASIC V9
Ultimaker Lab for software. Ultimaker Thing averse to shop for new stuff to print. Download ultimaker Lab (select tina 2 as printer) and then shop for whatever, download thing you want to print on Thingaverse to desktop files, open the file by selecting the downloads icon in the upper right corner of browser as your desktop will probably not display it in files settings, you will see 2 or 3 options in the file folder select main file (large amount of data) and double click the model, it will automatically open the file in Unimaker Lab, adjust size and position to be compatible with printer bed by using the tool bar on the left side of the screen, slice the model to complete processing of model data (if it won't do it then the model is not the correct size &/or position on bed, sometimes it won't let you print multiple small objects for some reason), save file as "sliced-" before the original file name, offload sliced file onto SD card (eject SD card from pc, don't just take it out), plug SD card into 3d printer and print from SD card. Done. Fyi: use the pads or scotch contractors tape, I found out the hard way that it's not optional. Bed adhesion is no joke. ... show more

  • Riddled with issues after the first 4-5 prints.
Color: TINA2S (SD Card/App/Wi-Fi)
I bought this for my 11 year for Christmas. He was so excited & immediately wanted to start printing. The test prints on the SD printed well the first 4-5 times then the printer head wouldn't level down to the plate. I leveled, hit auto home & it still wouldn't go down to the plate before it tried printing. I had to unplug it for several minutes & let it cool down before it would actually start to print on the plate. 2nd thing is that I had issues sticking to the plate. I tried glue and several brand of filaments with no luck. I was told to turn the bed heat up but mid way into the start of a print, it would automatically reset the temp to 40°. I've tried for days to find trouble shooting that worked & nothing. It seems to be a waste now & my son is broken hearted as we are past return date. My advice, move up a notch on the quality scale & don't waste your money. ... show more

  • Easy to set up and use
Color: TINA2S (SD Card/App/Wi-Fi)
Purchased as Christmas gift for tween, and she had it up and running in no time. Live the WiFi capability and the surprisingly good library of prints available out of the box. We are still dialing in on exact temps and speed to use but she’s so happy with this printer

  • Great Product, But Mine Just Stopped Working
Color: TINA2S (SD Card/App/Wi-Fi)
This is a great product but mine stopped working out of the blue. I hook power to it and the screen just flashes. Before it started doing that, it was an amazing printer for its build size and detail.
