Like many people on here I purchased this for my Acer e15. For over three months I had smooth 16g ddr4 operation, until Blue screen of death. After repeated Memory management errors and using the Memory diagnostic tool it was determined that the new Timetec ram was the culprit. After removing it, no more Memory Management errors and Memory Diagnostic passes 100%. I know that this has alot of good reviews so maybe its a normal/random fail rate, but because I dont have other experience with the brand I wont be purchasing again. ... show more

This was the cheapest 8 GB DDR4 RAM card I could find from a reputable seller. I had previously used an 8 GB DDR3 RAM card for my HP 15-g013dx upgrade, and it worked like a charm. This time I was upgrading my girlfriend's Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14-1470 that came with 4 GB of RAM. Getting the case of the laptop opened was more difficult than with my HP, but YouTube helped a lot. Once I got the thing opened, install and reassembly was a breeze. The computer recognized the card, no problem, and said that something like 7.85 GB was usable. Upon startup, my girlfriend said she noticed considerable improvement with multitasking and opening new programs. ... show more

I received one functional ram and one faulty. Troubleshooting was done and unfortunately, it is what it is. When I went to return/exchange, it was hell and amazon was making it extremely difficult for me, as it was sold through a third party, so I was not happy; mind you, that wasn’t the company’s fault. However, no 5 stars as it wasn’t fully functional. Also, didn’t end up ordering another through them. Who knows, the next ones could’ve worked. In hindsight, if it had worked, it would’ve been good value for the price and ram isn’t too hard to install (using a laptop, for reference). ... show more

    • My 4GB RAM module failed in 2 years.

The unit failed 25 months after the purchase. The computer shut down. It took a skilled technician to diagnose the problem and replace it with a new module. This repair cost me $125. The "lifetime guarantee" is worthless in this situation.

Installed these quickly and ran them through (2) complete sets of Memtest86. No errors. Great value. Good brand chips (Hynix). If you buy new memory, always download Memtest86 and run it through the tests. They have bootable USB and CD / DVD iso images available free. You won't regret it. A memory error is so frustrating and will give you a blue-screen at the worst time. ... show more
