  • Best purchase I ever made
Color: Gray
I've used this little coffee grinder very day for 6 months now and it still works as well as the day it arrived. Every morning I grind enough beans to make a quart of pour-over coffee. My Chestnut C2 holds 30 gms of beans and I load it up about 1-2/3 times. That's a little over 6 heaping Tbsp, or an estimated 50 gms or more. Unlike my old hand-grinder with the ceramic blades, this machine works effortlessly and gives me a perfect grind every time. There's really nothing like the taste of fresh ground coffee. It's my reason to get up in the morning and gear up for another long day. I put off buying a good hand-grinder because of the price, but really.... who needs the aggravation of struggling with a frustrating and onerous task Every. Single. Morning?!! BEFORE coffee, no less! I read a Wirecutter review that recommended this grinder as a high quality, quite reasonably priced hand-grinder so I finally broke down and bought one. Should have done it years ago and saved the wear and tear on my rotator cuff. ... show more

  • Excellent coffee
Color: Gray
This grinder model came highly recommended in the reviews. Love the grinder. Sometimes I wish I could just put the ground coffee into my pot, but this grinder makes the coffee soo much better. And it builds strong arms. Plus, I pay $11.xx for a kilo of beans at Aldi's versus ground coffee. And frankly, I've bought Hawaiian coffee, Brazilian coffee, Columbian coffee - it's the freshly ground (not chopped) beans, the filtered water and method of brewing that makes all the difference, more than the farm location. Maybe they all just lie about what kind of coffee they're packaging. Bit like Olive Oil isn't really olive oil. So the cheap $11 a kilo dark roast from Aldi's is so rich and flavourful, people think it tastes like barista made coffee. FRESH/METHOD of grinding the beans FILTERED water BREWING METHOD - I do the French Press Method = BEST COFFEE EVER Go on, buy this grinder. You'll never regret it, unless you break your arm. THen the regret is temporary. ... show more

  • [Edit: I got a new one] Defected used product
Color: A-Grey
Edit: They send me a new one the next day and finally it is new and comes with the brush. I blame Amazon for this. The grinder feel good. When I open the box, a lot of coffee powder and ground coffee just fall out of everywhere. It is clearly a used product. The grind setting is also broken. It doesn't click at all. Clearly someone forced it and broke it. I already asked for a replacement. ... show more

  • Great item
Color: Gray
Bought this as a gift for my best friend and he absolutely loves it. He uses it every single day to grind up his coffee beans. He says it’s the best hand grinder he’s ever used, it’s the fastest hand grinder he’s used, it’s got many many different settings to grind the coffee beans.

  • Perfect hand grinder for making pour-over coffee!
Color: A-Grey
The quality of this grinder is best appreciated when it is used! Milled out of aluminum and anodized in a variety of colors the build quality matches the grind quality - amazing! Sized perfectly to grind 20 grams of whole beans, it takes about a minute to quietly grind the coffee. Much quieter than an electric burr grinder! My one wish would be that the handle would be that the handle be made out of wood. ... show more

  • Well machined!
Color: Gray
Fantastic grinder for daily use. This thing is made of metal and feels like it. The knurled surface is perfect, not too sharp, not too smooth. Really a pleasure to use and easily grinds coffee without much effort at all. Adjustment of grain size is easy. I really can't say anything bad about this. I have been using this for about 2 months now and see no reason why this won't last a lifetime given the extremely solid construction and simplicity of it's design. ... show more

  • Elegant and Effective Machine!
Color: Gray
Purchased my Timemore C2 Max grinder in March 2022, so I have been using it daily (sometimes twice daily!) for over 6 months now. This is my first manual coffee grinder, and I have never owned an electric one. Overall, I am very impressed with this machine. It is simply constructed, elegant in appearance, and feels robust while using. For pourover, I generally set it at 12-16 clicks, but this depends on how much coffee I'm making (more coffee = more clicks). For Aeropress, I generally do 10-12 clicks [Just an aside: Setting #10 is the practical lower limit for me; I've found that at settings less than 10, the grind time increases considerably]. Due to density differences among roasts, I can fit between 28 grams (dark) and 35 grams (light) of beans into the hopper. I've also found that better quality beans (e.g., Methodical, Stumptown) take MUCH LESS time to grind that "cheap" beans (i.e., anything under $10 a bag); lighter roasts also tend to take less time to grind than darker roasts. The only real negative with this grinder that I can see is that it is very top heavy, and easily falls over when bumped). Eventually, I think I will upgrade to a 1zpresso with a larger bean hopper, more grind fine-tuning ability, and hopefully, a bit faster grinding speed, and relegate the Timemore to black peppercorn duty (it does a fantastic job doing this, btw). For now, I am very pleased with the C2 Max, and highly recommend it. IMO, it's an excellent value at (roughly) $70. It's also fun and satisfying to use - Just don't grind 28 grams of Starbuck's House Blend at 9 clicks. You will need to take a rest! ... show more

  • Wonderful grinder
Color: Gray
I upgraded from a Mr. Coffee grinder that you find in stores like target/Walmart, to this. The Consistency in grinding coffee beans *chefs kiss* super durable. Comes with a little bag for you to carry in, in case you go traveling. If you’re looking for a great grinder, you definitely should consider this one! ... show more
