The ear buds work well for music/sound defusing...not cancelation...but the way people speak...they speak fast. So the app can't pick up a lot of words/phrases. It gives you possible incomplete sentences. I have not tried the person to person conversations where you both wear the buds. Over-all the system does work. Volume could use some adjustments. I recommend buying the same brand but in black that comes with accessories, there are two types that they offer, this one really resulted in inconsistencies, I had to put them in their case and reconnect them several times in an hour because it would disconnect, it doesn't come with an accessory and it would fall out of my hands. ears many times lost the signal or even because there was some wind it stopped working. the volume too low. many say this is bad and others say it's perfect, I'll tell you. We both purchased the white Timekettle WT2 Edge/W3 translator and the black one with the Timekettle accessory package. Black is the good one, white is a waste of money, buy the one that is a little more expensive in black, that is the best, without a doubt it is the black one, the translation is correct quickly, you do not need to keep the cell phone with the screen open, You just plug it in and that's it. It has no signal interruptions and the headphones come with accessories so that they do not fall out of the ear. It is clear and can be heard clearly, sometimes I thought it was very loud and other people could notice it but that was not the case. It also lasts for many hours activated. I love it. Now compared to white, which is cheaper. It's really inferior. Says inconsistencies when translating. You have to plug it in every 10 minutes because it is difficult to put it in and take it out every time. It's really annoying, it doesn't come with in-ear accessories, you should buy it. It sounds slow... so you know, if you want something really good, buy the one that comes in the black Timekettle accessory package. Timekettle WT2 Edge/W3 Translator. I tried it at work and it worked great. You don't have to press it every time you want to talk, just turn it on and live happily. Buy it!!! ... show more

They fit well in large and medium ear canals. Fairly easy to use. Great value for the money. Average battery life, like other ear pod types. Quality seemed decent. Downside- is that the program wanted to add its own text, left out curse words, and was having a difficult time with some slang terms. My husband speaks about 5-6 languages that I don’t speak. It was fun to hear him talk and to listen to the translation in English. The phone interpreted what I said into the language he was speaking while the earbuds spoke the language he was using in English. You’re supposed to be able to split the earbuds up between two people, I believe, but we never figured that out. Anyhow, it was fun. We used the speaker of the phone at about a 3’ distance. It caught most of what was said, but I might suggest using at closer proximity. ... show more

I was very impressed with the packaging it came in, a company that takes that much care to protect their products for shipping must have great items. I had a little trouble getting one side to work but figured it out after a little reading. I tried to use them while watching videos in other languages but have had little success so far. We are going be traveling so I am looking forward to seeing how they work. They fit in my ears well and seem like they will stay in with normal use. ... show more

These earbuds are not that easy to use and have to be reset quite often. Translation is not always accurate to say the least. They do help communication but I expected better quality translation for the price. Do they work? Yes. Are they great translators for the price? NO!

The reviews inspired me to buy these translation earbuds. However, I'm mystified by all the positive reviews. The missed sentences and the obnoxious delay from spoken Spanish to English translation make this mostly unusable.

    • Do Not Buy Doesn't Work

Here is yet another Product I found interesting and it had a discount on Scamazon plus was supposed to come with a free gift. Lets Start with the fact this Product does not Work!!! I speak some Spanish and Fluent in English so it was easy for me to test this product at least using those 2 Languages. First you will need to have you Phone in your hand and Intrude on the person your talking to by putting the Phone in there Face.??? Yes even with a Build in Microphone this product requires you to use your Phones Microphone not the microphone that is built in the earbuds. It never translated either Spanish -> English or the reverse. I couldn't believe for $150 it uses the Phones Microphone and still COULDNT TRANSLATE correctly. This Item is a complete waste of Money I wouldn't pay $5 for this or any Product made by Timekettle. I tried another one of there Products with the exact same result so I'm sure its just a Low Quality Company charging as if they have a Functional Quality Product which they DON'T. Do NOT BUY from this company there products Do NOT WORK!! ... show more
