We love this clock. It is everything that we expected. Love the “no chime” durning normal sleeping time. The only thing that is of any issue is that the chime is loud. Wish there was an adjustment to lower the volume of the chime.

This clock is very nice. Not too big, not too small. It keeps great time and will really make your wall look nice. Only problem is that it doesn't chime as advertised. I followed the instructions and only got it to chime 1 time but the actual time was 3 o'clock but it chimed 8 times. After that I haven't heard from it since. I got tired of trying to get it to work and looks like I will be sending it back. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice clock but I paid 80 something dollars for a chiming clock. I could have got one just as nice for a third of the price knowing it wouldn't fully work. Again other than the chime this is a nice clock. ... show more

This clock has replaced my old one that ceased to run. The chimes are a bit loud but very pleasant. The instructions to set up the clock were easy to understand. So far, it has kept excellent time.

Very pleased with this clock. The chimes were a bit much, so I turned them off. It would be nice to have a little switch on the outside of the case so you could turn off the chime at night and turn them on during the day. The case looks good, it might look more realistic if it were distressed (showed some wear). It's an old clock, but it looks brand new. I was surprised that for a plastic case it looks like wood. Nice looking swinging pendulum. It emits a ticking sound but no tock sound as in tick-tock! I have an original wind-up school clock that ticks and tocks, which is the main reason I bought it years ago. The old antique school clock can't keep accurate time and needs winding too often. So I replaced it with this battery driven pendulum clock. It was two or three days before my wife noticed that the old antique had been replaced with this replica. I didn't think the hands were a correct design (for an old school clock) so I cut out some older looking hands from black paper, removed the back (six small screws) and exposed the face. I glued the paper cut-out hands to the modern looking hands (straight flat plastic bars) and now the clock has hands that look like it should for an old wind-up school clock. ... show more

I bought this in December 2022. It worked great and the batteries would last over a month. Starting in March, the batteries for the chime only lasts 2 weeks. No matter the brand..only 2 weeks. I have since given up on the chime. It keeps great time.
