Description

Timbren Suspension Kits (SES Kits) are designed to enhance the suspension of your vehicle. Easiest to use: Rubber cushions absorb road shocks and automatically adjust to uneven loads or road conditions. Easiest to maintain: There are no airlines or fittings to allow leaks. Simply bolt the kit on and you are set for a lifetime of trouble free suspension.Easiest to install: There are no holes to drill, no airlines to route and SES Kits can be installed in a matter of minutes using basic hand tools. The softer ride quality of todays trucks and the mediocre suspensions found on most trailers can cause excessive trailer sway, instability and suspension settling.Timbrens high performance suspension packages will ensure added safety and peace of mind.

  • Great buy, great option, great quality, great system invented so far, no maintenance, no adjustments at all.
I will start be saying that I was thinking back and forth of buying the Airbags suspension system or the Timbeen Aeon Hollow Rubber Srings for months. There are numerous comments out there made in regards to both systems, and it comes down to each and every one of us to go for the best one that might fit your needs and overall desire bottom line, including of how much are you willing to spend in the end. However, I can tell that the Timbren it is NO brainer considering the fact that anyone can install these in less than an hour and then forget about it for the rest of your life, instead of a real headache installing the airbags suspension system and its air compressor plus the air lines too, drilling holes into your frame, etc...including the fact that you will ALWAYS have to check the air presser of these airbags and be always concern to inflate them every single time you want to tow anything that requires a lot more resistances or heaviness. Bottom line, it is going to be a pain in the neck since these airbags always loose air pressure after 1 - 2 weeks as far as i heard many people complaining about it. Installing the Timbren rubber springs then these are good for ever, no maintenance, no concerns, no adjustments necessary at all. Not to mention that these Timbren Aeon Rubber Springs are cheaper or at least half price, compared with the airbags system’s price. Also keep in mind that the Airbags do have the tendency to get permanently destroyed at some point in time and therefore you will need to replace one of them or both after a while, since they might become useless. The Timbren are rated up to 8600 lb, and these are a lot more reliable than the airbags without any doubt. Now, in regards to rough ride since some buyers mentioned and complained about the Timbren Rubber Springs, saying that these are notorious for it. Therefore, please keep in mind that IF you DON’T install the extensions that the package comes with it for both (left and right) sides of the vehicle, then you WILL eliminate the rough ride of your travel as many people point it out having it with the extensions mounted, instead of having these extensions NOT added to each side.. I will estimate that you will have about an inch left in between the Rubber Springs and the rear axel without the extensions mounted on each side. So, I strongly recommend, that you DON’T install the extensions unless your vehicle was lifted previously. However, I did not lift my vehicle, so I installed my Rubber Springs on a factory stock version of my vehicle. I just want to add also that I still have around the same amount of space left on both sides of the vehicle after I already installed my Rubber Springs, considering that I have a little more weight added to my truck since I kept the 5th Wheel hitch assembly as usual and a chest box that is full with a lot of other heavy crap totaling to at least another 250 pounds for sure combining, including myself being a guy of over 220 lb too.. I also heard other people saying that taking any pothole, then you will feel the difference and noticed immediately that these rubber springs are the reason for it. Honestly, I drive mostly in town and highways my truck, and I have not noticed yet any of that rough bump unless you might take a little bigger pothole I would assumed or bouncing significantly while going through some deeps or uneven roads perhaps. Installing these rubber springs it was fairly simple and I did NOT raised my vehicle from the ground at all, and also kept the tires in place without removing these since I considered to have enough space to work around. So far I am happy with the Timbren system, and I am GLAD that I did the purchase, saving a bunch of money by going this route instead of the airbags. Anyway, I purchased my Timbrens specifically for my 5th Wheel RV 37ft long as well as being over 13500 lb loaded, having also over 2100 lb hitch weight, therefore I am trying to eliminate any sagging or bounce while traveling with my RV hooked up, including avoiding as much as possible any rear springs failure just in case. I am also planing to trade in my RV in the future and get something bigger and heavier, which will allowed me right now to increase the hitch weight to even over 2500 lb as the truck was rated for from the manufacture. Well again, it is up to each and every one of you to decided what fit your budget and needs in the end. Best of luck with your purchase no matter what that might be. I hope that my comments will help. M. 12.03.2017 2017 Ram 2500 HD 4x4 Diesel Laramie. ... show more

  • DR2500D - Easy installation-Poor shipping
This is my second set of the Timbren DR2500D SES. The first was on a Gas RAM 2500. I traded it for a 2020 RAM 2500HD Diesel powered. Since I pull a heavy RV I bought a set of these for the new truck. As it's been said in other reviews the left, drivers side, is easy to install. I didn't use the spacers that come with the kit to ensure I had clearance between the bump stop and axle after installation. The passenger side is a little harder because of getting access to the rear bolt because of body parts being in the way. What I did was put some blocks under my trailer hitch and put a floor jack on top of the blocks. I jacked up the rear of the truck as high as I felt comfortable with without lifting the wheels off the ground. This gave me a lot of clearance to install the passenger side bump stop which is needed. On this side I installed the mounting plate before I installed the rubber bump stop to the plate. This allowed me to access the hole in the mounting plate to easily tighten the rear bolt (see the product pictures). Eliminating the problem with body parts interfering with tightening this bolt. To mount the rubber bump stop onto the plate I had to make sure I could get my ratchet and extension out of the bump stop after I installed it. To do this I used an extension and socket combination that would fit inside the bump stop to tighten the bolt to the plate and just clear the bottom of the bump stop where the ratchet connected. With the rear of the truck raised I had the clearance under the rubber bump stop to disconnect the ratchet and remove the extension and socket. I put blue locktite on all the screws prior to installation. All bolts are tight and secure. After removing the jack and letting the rear of the truck down I checked the clearance under the bump stop. I could get my fingers under both sides. This must be about 1/2" or so I expect. I was satisfied with the ride during the test drive after the install. It rides good with that amount of clearance. When hitting normal bumps in the road I could tell the Timbren were installed but it wasn't bad. Larger bumps though were definitely felt. In summary the ride isn't bad unloaded and well worth it. From previous experience with the other truck I know the ride and handling while pulling the Travel Trailer will be greatly improved. I recommend these. The only negative for me was the shipping. These were shipped in the original box with a shipping label placed on it. One side of the box was split open. They barely survived the shipping. I would suggest to the seller that they either reinforce the box before shipping or put the box into a better shipping container. ... show more

  • Using in 2018 2500
The install was very simple and easy. Took about 10 minutes to do both. I am NOT using the spacers which I highly recommend you do not if this is your daily driver. If you tow 24/7, then that might be an option. If I hit some good bumps and/or have 5 passengers, without the spacers, it's a lot rougher ride. I have about an inch had between the axle and Timbrens. But once hooked up to my 5th wheel with a 1800lb tongue weight, these Timbrens make quite a difference in ride quality compared to without them. I'm really impressed in how little squat my truck has and how well it handles the road since they were installed. A lot cheaper than air bags but definitely as good. ... show more

  • Does what it’s supposed to do
These are pretty easy to install but the passenger side can be difficult due to clearance issues. I have to cut a wrench in half to fit it in. I installed without the spacer so it would not affect the unloaded ride. I have only towed with them once and it supported the load well enough. These can provide a rough ride but I expected that since it’s a 3/4 ton truck. Seemed a little bouncy with the fiver but that could have been due to the fact that the pin weight wasn’t very high as the trailer was unloaded and the water tank was in the back and full when I brought the trailer home from the dealer. I’ll try them out again once the trailer is fully loaded and see how well they do. Overall I think they will do what I was expecting them to do and no need to mess with them like airbags. ... show more
