    • What they don't tell you!!
Is that the app needs to be on when the item is lost in order to be notified of where it was last. IT WILL NOT RUN IN THE BACKGROUND. Customer Service refused to accept the possibility that the Tile was malfunctioning. I live in a major metropolitan area and haven't heard a beep yet, seems fishy. Dropped my keys on a bike ride home, didn't find out till I got there. Went to check Tile, and IT SAID MY TILE WAS LAST SEEN 4 DAYS AGO. The one time I needed it, it failed. I chose Tile because I thought it was reliable, and attached it to my BMW and mail key, which together cost $200+ to replace! ... show more

This is for all you cat owners that spend countless hours worrying about where your cat is...while I know my cat is smart and cunning, I still would worry when he would not come home at night when I called.. I had this sinking feeling he had to be nearby and was just toying with me so I thought I would give this a try. GG has been used to wearing a collar so it was not hard to implement this great little device onto his cat collar. I also wrote on his tile his name and phone number to second as a tag since keeping his current name tag on made him too noisy. He really doesn't mind it and it's not heavy or too big for him. Because the Tile works off Bluetooth it's not like I can find him at any moment, but what is great is I can monitor through the app how long it has been since he has been around. And when he does stay out after dark I have some peace of mind that if he is nearby I will know and can let him in. Many nights so far I have gone to bed and an hour or so later woken up, looked at my app and see he has been around just a few minutes ago. I get up walk outside and see the locator turning green as I get closer to his location. I love hitting the button to hear where he is.. and he is now trained that when he hears the pleasant little sound he knows I am there to let him in and he can come out of hiding! In all reality I would love if this worked like the track my iPhone and was a true GPS tracker, but for the money it has really helped me feel more comfortable having him enjoy his time outside. So, if you are a cat owner and want to try something that isn't too expensive, too big around the cats neck and gives you a bit of comfort.. give it a try! My husband said to me the first day we had it on GG, "I have not seen you so happy with a purchase"! Try it.. let your cats be wild.. just enough!! ... show more

This is thing hasn’t failed me. I’ve only had to charge it once since I got it 2 months ago and my cat escapes at least twice per week sometimes more than that. When I’m not home and he runs out the door I get a notification and I’m able to call my mother and yell at her to go get him haha. It is so accurate on his location also and it shows me the path he took to get to where he is at that moment. At night is when he escapes so he camouflages pretty well in the dark but when I’m tracking him there is a flashing blue light which helps and I also use my phone flashlight and I’m able to see his eyes If he is hiding in a bush. I honestly don’t care about paying the 12-14 fee I don’t know exactly how much it is. I’m paranoid about someone stealing my cat or him getting by a car. This gives me peace of mind. The device is on the bigger side but it doesn’t bother him. ... show more

    • Worth every penny!
Saved the day several times! Most critical occasion ... My vehicle keys went missing wile out of town, out of state, at a one day University seminar that was a 3 hour drive from home. After the seminar was over, I networked with professors a bit, gathered my things and found my keys missing. Crisis! I activated the alarm, another person stopped in the parking lot to see what that noise was in their handbag and found a strange set of keys. I was able to track the signal to the person... before they left. Crisis averted. No telling how far away the Keys would have went had I not had the TILE. May have led to a lot of explaining for them to their spouse why they ended up with someone else's keys, etc. My options would have been ... 1. to ask my wife to bring a spare set, (6 hr. drive time after work) or 2. Find a car dealer, and spend hours proving its my vehicle, them getting the key code to match my vehicle V.I.N., and then obtaining a replacement chip embedded key. I had a friend that lost their keys out of town ... It cost them over $300 to get a replacement made, mid day... the next day. $$$ ! Other examples ... Keys lost under my car seat, behind a desk drawer & in a friend's couch. The tiles are worth every penny! Plan to put one on each piece of luggage for an upcoming overseas trip for quicker identification at the airline luggage carousel. I believe it will minimize the chances of accidental or intensional mis-taken luggage. I do wish the battery was replaceable & lasted longer. ... show more
