  • GOT THE JOB DONE!
Style: 250A AC/DC Pulsed TIG Welder
I recently purchased the SS-250P AC/DC TIG machine, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision. Prior to this, I didn't have an AC TIG at home, so after some research, I decided to give this one a try considering its price point. After five hours of welding today, I can confidently say that I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Not only did I complete my project, but the machine has already paid for itself and earned its place alongside my name-brand machines. ... show more

  • Precision Punch for Hobbyists
Style: 200A Pulsed TIG Welder
The Sunstac TIG Welder with Pulse boasts impressive versatility, promising smooth welds on a variety of materials with its 200A output and dual voltage capabilities. But does this powerhouse live up to the hype, or is it just another sparking disappointment in the welding world? I fired up the torch and tackled some projects to find out. As a hobbyist welder, I was excited about the Sunstac's versatility. I used it to weld thin sheet metal for a repair project, thicker steel bars for a custom furniture frame, and even tried my hand at some aluminum work using the pulse function. The welds were clean, precise, and surprisingly strong, thanks to the pulse control and user-friendly settings. The dual voltage was a lifesaver when I needed to switch between my workshop and a friend's garage for a project. The portability also came in handy for working on smaller spaces or outdoors. Here are a few of the pros and cons of the Sunstac 3-in-1 TIG Welder with Pulse 200A 110V/220V Dual Voltage Welding Machine: Pros: Versatile Champion Dual Voltage Dynamo Pulse Powerhouse Digital Display Delight Portable & Packable Cons: Price Point Pondering Manual Mastery Needed Limited Accessories This 3-in-1 machine tackles Stick, DC TIG, and Pulse TIG welding, catering to a range of project needs and skill levels. Seamlessly switch between 110V and 220V power sources, offering flexibility for home workshops and professional environments. The pulse function delivers cleaner, more controlled welds, especially on thin materials. The large digital display provides clear readouts of amperage, voltage, and other settings, making operation intuitive and efficient. The compact and lightweight design makes this welder easy to transport and store, ideal for working on-site or in smaller spaces. Compared to basic welding machines, the Sunstac comes at a slightly higher cost. Consider your budget and welding frequency before investing. While versatile, this machine requires some knowledge and practice to master, especially for beginners. Be prepared to invest some time in learning the ropes. The base package lacks some accessories like a foot pedal or gas valve, which might need separate purchases depending on your needs. Overall, if you're looking for a versatile, powerful, and portable TIG welder with pulse functionality, the Sunstac is a fantastic choice. It caters to both beginners and experienced welders, offering room to grow and tackle diverse projects. Just be aware of the price tag, the need for some manual expertise, and the potential need for additional accessories. For those who value precision, versatility, and the freedom to weld anywhere, the Sunstac TIG Welder is a worthy investment. ... show more

  • Awesome little welder
Style: 200A Pulsed TIG Welder
Wanted to keep my practice up after finishing a welding course at a local BOCES and this thing has been amazing. Did both stick and Tig welding on this at both 120v and 240v on up to 1/8" mild steel and stainless without issues. Haven't cranked this thing past 100 amps since I'm practicing on very thin metal so haven't had any overheating/shutdown issues but it's been great so far. The finger switch on the torch has been very functional for my purposes but the machine can take a 7 pin foot pedal (sold separately), and you need to get your own gas regulator if you plan on TIG'ing ... show more

  • Really Nice 110/220 volt 200 Amp TIG Machine
Style: 200A Pulsed TIG Welder
This is an excellent 3 in one TIG machine for someone that may be getting started with tig. This machine can also do TIG Pulse and Stick welding. This unit will run on 110 or 220 and I really like that it cones with the big boy 50amp rated 6-50P plug. This way your plug will never be a limiting factor. This machine comes with a 17 Size tig torch and consumables , a stick welding torch and a ground clamp. On 220 running tig this will deliver up to 200 amps. It also comes with a plug adapter to go from 6-50p to regular US plug. The display on this machine is excellent and has alot of configurable parameters. Of you're looking for a reliable starting tig machine then you can't go wrong with this. ... show more

  • So far so good, still learning
Style: 200A Pulsed TIG Welder
I've never welded in my life, and this seems to help me get some practice in. Mind you nothing is pretty looking but it seems to be holding when I'm testing stuff that I am welding. With anything as I get better, I'll probably look into another machine but for now this is something that I'm able to attach metal to metal which I've never been able to do previously. This seems like a complete kit and really does give you everything, but you need to get a good mask/shield. Someone that welds for a living would probably laugh at this entire unit but I think for a DIY learning type of person this is a good way to get your feet wet into welding. ... show more

  • Little pricey but versatile
Style: 200A Pulsed TIG Welder
You can purchase welders on Amazon that are half this price, that will indeed weld even 1/4 inch steel. However they won't have the versatility of this one. This 3-in-1 machine will handle basic stick, DC TIG, and pulse TIG welding, That means you can tackle anything from relatively thin sheet metal, all the way to 1/4 inch steel and even aluminum using the pulse TIG. It will take 110V or if you need more current (Amps) it will use 220V if you have that available in your workshop. This one has a HUGE easily readable at a glance display. What is lacks is a more in depth manual for beginners. If you're already a welder, you know the ropes, and why you would use DC TIG instead of stick for example. They don't explain that well. That said, manuals that come with welders in this price range are not meant to take the place of a welding 101 class. Therefore can't knock off a star for that. Bottom line, this one is a bit pricier than others, but then it's more versatile and can handle more jobs. I have to give this one five stars. ... show more
