    • No more hard water!
We have well water that is of excellent quality across the board for iron, sulfur, mercury, bacteria, etc., EXCEPT for hardness where it literally measures off the chart (the test strip color was darker than the top of the scale at 425ppm). This hard water has made our laundry come out feeling "crunchy", caused our soap dispenser door in our dishwasher to repeatedly stick shut (thus not releasing dishwasher detergent), leaves white spots whenever I wash our cars, clogged up our coffee maker, yields pore tasting water for drinking and, of course, clogs up our shower heads and faucets. Now we have good tasting, soft water (somewhere between 0 and 25ppm, if not completely eliminated -- hard to tell with test strips) and we no longer need to regularly spend the extra money on all the water softening laundry and dishwasher products and bottled waters. Some reviewers state the instructions are hard to follow, or that they did not receive instructions on how to use the automated pump. The instructions I received were clearly laid out, with accompanying pictures, that walked me through the process to piece the system together; I had no issues at all. The instructions also included directions for programming the automated pump -- the only issue I had was regarding the initial start up of the system upon plugging it in the first time. The instructions stated I should see a specific code when first plugging it in, but there was no code displayed at all; I figured out I had to go to the menu and scroll down three times to show the code. Other than that, the entire setup process was very easy. The instructions also provided a schematic of how to plumb the softener into your home water supply. My setup was slightly different due to the orientation of the way I had to install the filter, so while the schematic is absolutely accurate you may need to tweak the layout a little bit based on your own system install orientation. I plumbed the system into existing household PVC pipes; PVC is very easy to work with and much simpler and quicker than plumbing into copper pipes. If you are not handy, I do not recommend you plumb the system yourself, but if you are handy, doing the plumbing yourself will save you several hundreds of dollars in labor costs. ... show more

Easy install, be advised that the filter and control head require 1" fittings/adapters. My old ones were 3/4" so I needed to hit up amazon for stainless steel fittings and a twin pack of new connecting "Accordion" (my term) softener/ water heater connecting lines to replace old copper ones who were somewhat pinched. Very quiet and economical. Do the installation during the week, B4 5pm so the customer service people are available. ... show more

Easy to install but make sure to check your water pipes connections at home and this product and get appropriate flex pipes. Had it for few months and so far it has been working great. Water quality is much better, dishwashing is better, showers are better, skins feels better.

Super disappointed. I’ve had this one year now. The regeneration is spotty, at best the impeller has been pulled several times, to ensure it rotates freely. The system dumps air into my pipes every time. When it regens, I have salt that is not being flushed out. So, it enters my house water stream. Try using the customer support email, no responses from several attempts. No phone number to call. Do NOT waste your $. Look to something else. ... show more

UPDATE 2/23/19 The customer service is the best one we have ever met. After this review The customer service contacted us right away and tried so hard to solve our problem. Because the head piece can not fit our 1" cooper pipe at home. They even send us another head piece at no extra cost that's just right for our 1" cooper pipe. But the only problem is that it is a dial one not digital one which is what we prefer. But no matter what they are trying very hard to solve our problem. They contacted us through emails or phone calls almost everyday. Unfortunately we didn't have time to setting up the softener now but will update again after it starts to work. Thank the customer service again! For their wonderful service I changed 1 star to 4 star here. If it's working well I'll give 5 star for sure! ==================================================================================== We bought this unit to replace our old one. It's should be easy to install because all the pipes and outlet are ready. The shipping is on time. But when we opened the box we found the manual is just copies not a well printed booklet. Then when we tried to install it we found the bypass valve has 3/4" threaded connection. But our copper pipe is 1'. We read many reviews here and found someone said theirs comes with 1' and 3/4' line connections. But ours only comes with 3/4" connection. Did we miss something? We read the manual thoroughly but still can not find any useful instruction. The manual is not helpful. We can not wait to try this water softner but first we need to install it properly. But so far it's a pain. Thanks and please give us any suggestions how to install it. ... show more

This was my 2nd installation, 1st one for a friend four years ago, I decided to replace my culligan due to lack of parts to fix it after paying 3k. This water softener exceeded my expectations, not only the price, the application it covers as well. It's been a month now, just works beautifully.
